Kaitlyn Dever<\/b> paid a <\/span>heartfelt tribute<\/span><\/a> to her late mother at the 2025 Emmys on Sunday, September 14.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis is my mom\u2019s jacket. A couple of years ago, she bought this jacket like it was a vintage piece on <\/span>The RealReal<\/span><\/i>,\u201d Dever told <\/span>Entertainment Tonight<\/span><\/i> while walking the red carpet.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Last of Us<\/span><\/i> actress\u2019s mother, <\/span>Kathy Dever<\/b><\/a>, passed away in February of last year due to breast cancer complications.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cShe was like, \u2018When you get nominated for an Emmy, I want to wear this with you.\u2019 Unfortunately, she\u2019s no longer with us tonight to wear it, but I had to wear it in her honor,\u201d the 28-year-old said.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cMichael Kors did a whole redo\u2014it\u2019s an entirely Michael Kors look,\u201d Dever added.<\/span><\/p>\n After the <\/span>star-studded night<\/span><\/a>, she shared her tribute again on Instagram.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis is my mama\u2019s jacket \ud83d\ude42 I\u2019m so glad I got to have her with me last night and I\u2019m so grateful for the team at Michael Kors for putting it all together,\u201d she wrote.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0\u201cI\u2019m so happy I got to honor my mama \u2026 and of course a lil Heartbreaker, which ALWAYS makes me think of her.\u201d The Emmy nominee also thanked her sister <\/span>Jane Dever<\/b> for \u201cstyling.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Following her mother\u2019s passing, Dever posted a heartfelt tribute on <\/span>Instagram<\/span><\/a>, writing, \u201cI miss your smile, your sense of humor, your hugs, your kisses, getting to hold your hand, more than anything in the world.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYou made everything better. My sweetest, beautiful girl. My best friend. Oh, how much I love you. What a gift it is to love you. I love you forever and ever, Mom.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
