\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Joaquin Phoenix<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s next role is going to be an explicit one. <\/p>\n The 48-year-old Joker<\/strong><\/a><\/em> actor worked with Carol <\/em>director Todd Haynes<\/strong><\/a> to create the script for a gay love story that should go into production in 2024. <\/p>\n Todd <\/strong>opened up about the project during a recent interview and informed fans that it would be rated NC-17 when it arrives in theaters. <\/p>\n Read more about Joaquin Phoenix\u2019s NC-17 rated role\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Speaking to IndieWire <\/a>during the 2023 Cannes Film Festival<\/strong><\/a>, Todd <\/strong>explained that Joaquin <\/strong>was the one pushing for the film to \u201cgo further.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe next film is a feature that\u2019s an original script that I developed with Joaquin Phoenix<\/strong> based on some thoughts and ideas he brought to me,\u201d he said. \u201cWe basically wrote with him as a story writer. Me and Jon Raymond<\/strong> and Joaquin <\/strong>share the story credit. And we hope to be shooting it beginning early next year.
