The messenger \u2013 idealistic French emigr\u00e9, Charles Darnay (Civil<\/strong>) \u2013 is arrested and charged with treason. Lucie enlists the help of a brilliant but erratic young lawyer, Sydney Carton (Harington<\/strong>), to free Darnay in the hope he will lead her to Paris to track down her father.
