\t\t<\/p>\n Bobby Bones<\/strong><\/a> is one of the more controversial winners in Dancing with the Stars <\/em>history<\/a>, and he\u2019s now sharing how he actually \u201ccheated\u201d while on his path to winning the Mirror Ball trophy.<\/p>\n If you don\u2019t know, the popular radio show host was paired with Sharna Burgess<\/strong><\/a> in 2018. They beat Disney\u2019s Milo Manheim<\/strong><\/a> and Harry Potter<\/em>\u2018s Evanna Lynch<\/strong><\/a> that year for the win.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI never wanted to do the show. I had never danced, not once. I was on American Idol<\/em>\u2026[and] they said, \u2018Hey, go and do Dancing With the Stars<\/em> to promote American Idol.\u2019 I was like, \u2018OK, but I\u2019ve never danced.\u2019 They were like, \u2018It\u2019s fine. Nobody wins that show that\u2019s never danced and you\u2019ll be off in four weeks,\u2019\u201d he said on Jason Tartick<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s \u201cTrading Secrets\u201d podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n He shared, \u201cI don\u2019t do anything halfway. And that show, they don\u2019t tell you how you\u2019re actually doing. All you know is you\u2019re surviving. I was a fish out of water. I had no idea what I was doing.\u201d<\/p>\n He continued, \u201cI cheated, in the way of, they give you a limited amount of time with your partner. Four hours a day, they say. So we would do our four, I would record the session and then go by myself and rent a studio myself and train myself. Like, illegally spent time over\u2026 because I was so far behind everybody else.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI wasn\u2019t in any way polarizing on the show, other than I sucked. \u201cI didn\u2019t run out and [say], like, \u2018I\u2019m the best.\u2019 I tried as hard as I could and I got sevens, a couple sixes.
