Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines recently launched their joint loyalty program, Atmos Rewards<\/a>. Luckily, this new program still offers access to many valuable Alaska Airlines partners, with which you can earn and redeem Atmos Rewards<\/a> points.<\/p>\n

So, here’s what you should know about Alaska Airlines’ partners.<\/p>\n

Who are Alaska Airlines’ partners?<\/h2>\n

Three categories of Alaska Airlines partners exist: airline partners, transfer partners and other partners.<\/p>\n

Airline partners include other airlines on which you can earn points and, in some cases, redeem points. Transfer partners include programs to which you can transfer rewards. Finally, other partners include a variety of travel and everyday partnerships through which you can enjoy perks, earn points or redeem points.<\/p>\n

Alaska Airlines’ airline partners<\/h2>\n

When you think of Alaska Airlines’ partners, you likely picture the airline partners first.<\/p>\n

Alaska Airlines has three types of airline partners: Oneworld alliance<\/a> partners, earn and redeem partners, and earn partners. Here’s a look at Alaska Airlines’ partners in each category and what Atmos Rewards members can expect from these partners:<\/p>\n

If you credit a partner flight to the Atmos Rewards program, you’ll earn based on your fare class, the flight distance and how you booked. Here are the earning rates for flights operated by Alaska Airlines partners and credited to Atmos Rewards.<\/p>\n

Redeeming points for flights on Alaska Airlines partners<\/h3>\n

Atmos Rewards publishes partner award charts<\/a> with starting rates. For example, here’s the partner award chart for itineraries within the Americas:<\/p>\n

Of course, since the Atmos Rewards partner award chart lists starting rates, you may find more expensive awards when you try to redeem points for your trip. You may also occasionally have issues with phantom award space<\/a>, as I experienced recently when trying to book an award flight operated by Royal Jordanian through Atmos Rewards.<\/p>\n

Finally, remember that you can earn toward Atmos Rewards elite status on flights booked with Alaska points<\/a>, including flights operated by partners.<\/p>\n

Alaska Airlines’ transfer partners<\/h2>\n

You may also think of transfer partners when considering Alaska Airlines partners. In other words, which loyalty programs let you convert your rewards into Alaska points, and which programs are available if you want to convert your Alaska points into other rewards?<\/p>\n

Let’s start with the potentially disappointing news: You can’t convert Atmos Rewards points into any rewards currency besides Hawaiian Airlines miles (and this option is ending soon, as HawaiianMiles will transition to Atmos Rewards on Oct. 1). However, if you hold the Atmos\u2122 Rewards Summit Visa Infinite\u00ae Credit Card<\/a><\/span>, you can transfer your points to select hotel programs (more on this later).<\/p>\n

There’s slightly better news regarding the programs from which you can transfer rewards, as you can transfer Bilt Rewards Points to Atmos Rewards<\/a> at a 1:1 ratio and Marriott Bonvoy<\/a> points at a 3:1 ratio. You can also transfer Hawaiian miles to Alaska, although this will only be an option until HawaiianMiles transitions to Atmos Rewards on Oct. 1.<\/p>\n

Alaska Airlines also has various partners through which you can earn and redeem points. Here’s a look at the other Alaska Airlines partners.<\/p>\n

You can earn Alaska points<\/a> on purchases with the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite Credit Card<\/a><\/span>, the Atmos\u2122 Rewards Ascent Visa Signature\u00ae Credit Card<\/a><\/span> and the Atmos\u2122 Rewards Visa Signature\u00ae Business Card<\/a><\/span>. As discussed earlier in this guide, you can transfer Bilt Rewards<\/a> points to Atmos Rewards. Additionally, the partnership between Bilt and Alaska goes deeper. Specifically, you’ll earn 3 Alaska points per dollar spent on rent payments, up to $50,000 per year, when you link your Visa Signature card to your Rent Rewards account and use your card to pay rent through Bilt<\/a>.<\/p>\n
