The nominees for Outstanding Reality Competition Program at the 2025 Emmy Awards<\/a> know better than most that only one winner<\/a> can take home the prize.<\/p>\n

The Traitors<\/em> ultimately earned the award during the Sunday, September 14, ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.\n<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks everyone who watches the show and all the people who have Traitors<\/em> parties and dress up as me,\u201d host Alan Cumming <\/strong>said during his acceptance speech. \u201cWe see you, and we love you.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to thanking Peacock, Cumming, 60, gave credit to all the reality stars who make each season so memorable.<\/p>\n

This year, the awards are being held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 14. Stars including Uzo Aduba, Kristen Bell, Quinta Brunson, Ayo Ederibi and Jean Smart all looked flawless as they hit [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Traitors<\/em> beat out<\/a> The Amazing Race<\/em>, RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/em>, Survivor <\/em>and\u00a0Top Chef<\/em> in the Outstanding Reality Competition Program category.<\/p>\n

Of the contenders, The Amazing Race<\/em> had the most prior wins in the Outstanding Reality Competition Program category, with 10 trophies between 2003 and 2014. RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/em> followed with five statues between 2018 and 2023, while Top Chef<\/em> and The Traitors<\/em> trailed with one previous accolade<\/a> each in the category in 2010 and 2024, respectively. Survivor<\/em> was the only nominated show to never earn Outstanding Reality Competition Program despite its six nods since 2003.<\/p>\n

Prior to Sunday\u2019s awards show, The Traitors<\/em> secured four early wins at the 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program for Cumming, Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program, Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program and Outstanding Cinematography for a Reality Program.<\/p>\n
