Malcolm-Jamal Warner<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s widow, Tenisha Warner<\/strong>, has revealed her identity and addressed his tragic death earlier this year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tenisha took to Instagram<\/a> on Friday, September 12, to share a joyful photo of her 2017 wedding to Malcolm-Jamal, who died in July<\/span><\/a> after drowning while on vacation with his family in Costa Rica. Her late husband was 54.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c<\/span>Thank you for holding us in so much love during this tender time,\u201d Tenisha wrote in a caption. \u201cTomorrow marks our anniversary \u2014 and my heart is wide open. For the first time, I\u2019m sharing a glimpse of the love that began it all.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI can still hear my husband\u2019s laugh, still feel the way he made room for every part of me \u2014 every tear, every dream. Today, in his honor, my daughter and I are launching River & Ember and officially opening The Warner Family Foundation.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Tenisha said, \u201cTogether we carry the legacy my husband and I began \u2014 one that nurtures children\u2019s inner light and gives young artists the freedom to create outside the lines. This is love, Still moving. Still making. Still carrying us forward.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In her post, Tenisha included an image of a longer statement about the new enterprise, writing, \u201cRiver & Ember was born not only from my knowledge as a doctor of psychology, but from my own journey with grief and love. It\u2019s about creating rituals that outlast us \u2014\u00a0the kind that our children will carry as a legacy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

She added, \u201cRiver & Ember began with two simple forces: the steady flow that carries us forward, and the quiet warmth that keeps us alive inside. My husband embodied both. His presence was a river \u2014\u00a0steady, sure, and always moving toward what matters.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Malcolm-Jamal\u2019s \u201cspirit was an ember \u2014\u00a0glowing with encouragement, igniting possibility in those around him.
