In the interview, Brooks<\/strong> revealed that she was on her own with no financial support when she moved to New York City. <\/p>\n \u201cWhen I moved to New York, my dad was like, \u2018You\u2019re living a full-ride scholarship. I have no money to support your life in New York. You better find a boyfriend,\u2019\u201d Brooks<\/strong> joked to the publication. She continued on, referencing her relationship with 39-year-old Billy<\/strong> when she said, \u201cWhich I did, thank God, for just the rent purposes.\u201d<\/p>\n The two split in 2024 after close to five years of marriage. Brooks<\/strong> opened up about how getting married so young caused problems for her in the dating world.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m fresh off of a divorce, and when we started filming, I was very much so childlike in relationships,\u201d Brooks<\/strong> told the publication. \u201cBecause I met my ex-husband when I was 18 and I was with him until I was 27, so he was my first date. So I never dated, I had no experience, I didn\u2019t know what love-bombing was.
