Emma Heming Willis<\/strong><\/a> is sharing more details about husband Bruce Willis<\/strong><\/a>\u2018 move into a separate house amid his battle with frontotemporal dementia (FTD).<\/p>\n During her recent Emma & Bruce Willis: The Unexpected Journey<\/em> special on ABC, Emma<\/strong>, 47, revealed that the 70-year-old Die Hard<\/em> actor no longer lives in the same home<\/a> as her and their two daughters, Mabel<\/strong>, 13, and Evelyn<\/strong>, 11.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>Emma<\/strong> shared that Bruce<\/strong> now lives in a single-story home with his round-the-clock caregivers.<\/p>\n In her new book, The Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope, and Yourself on the Caregiving Path<\/a><\/em>, Emma<\/strong> recalled the heartbreaking moment she told their daughters that Bruce<\/strong> would be moving into a second home.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2018We\u2019ve come to a point in Daddy\u2019s disease where the care he requires is changing. It has to be more tailored to his every need,\u2019 I told them. \u2018And you should be in a home that is more tailored to your needs now,\u2019\u201d Emma<\/strong> wrote, via TooFab<\/a><\/em>. \u201c\u2018Also, Daddy would want you to have playdates, sleepovers, and more freedom than you\u2019ve been able to have here. That would make him so happy.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Emma<\/strong> reassured the girls that Bruce<\/strong>\u2018s new house would be their \u201csecond home,\u201d filled with their belongings.<\/p>\n She described the retired actor\u2019s new space as \u201ca place they\u2019d keep personal things like toys, arts and crafts supplies, bathing suits, pjs, and games, and that we could go stay with him anytime they wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n While she admitted the move was \u201cpainful,\u201d Emma <\/strong>said she knows it would have been what Bruce<\/strong> wanted.<\/p>\n \u201cEven though they\u2019d lived with his disease for so long that they understood, and even though this decision ensures Bruce\u2019s overall well-being and safety and allows our young children to thrive, it was an uncertain and painful time for us,\u201d Emma<\/strong> explained. \u201cIn fact, it\u2019s still painful for me. After all, this is my husband, and having him in another home was not part of the future we\u2019d mapped out together.
