Perks of polygamy?\u00a0Sister Wives<\/em><\/a>\u00a0star\u00a0Robyn Brown<\/strong>\u00a0<\/a>has made it clear that she only wants to be in a plural marriage with\u00a0Kody Brown<\/strong><\/a>. Since patriarch Kody wanted to do everything he could to prevent his family of 23 from\u00a0spreading COVID-19 amongst themselves<\/a>, he enacted very strict safety rules to follow. Robyn and Meri agreed to follow Kody\u2019s guidelines, but\u00a0Christine and Janelle rebelled against them<\/a>\u00a0which caused a major divide in their family.<\/p>\n Before the pandemic, Kody used to divide his time spent evenly among his four wives. Since Christine and Janelle refused to follow his pandemic rules full-time, Kody limited his time with them. Even though Meri was keeping all of his rules, Kody didn\u2019t spend time with her<\/a>\u00a0because of the issues they have been facing and continue to face in their marriage. So that meant Kody spent the majority of his time since the lockdowns in March 2020 with Robyn.<\/p>\n In an episode that aired on January 2, 2022, Robyn admitted she was \u201cworried\u201d that Kody wasn\u2019t seeing his other wives.<\/p>\n While discussing the perks of plural marriage with Janelle in a separate scene, like the amount of freedom and independence a wife in a monogamous marriage may not have, Robyn hinted that she\u2019s had enough of their current arrangement.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, could you please figure this out so I can be in a plural family again,\u201d Robyn told Janelle with a laugh. \u201cOh my gosh, you guys, I\u2019m like, \u2018This is what it would be like to be \u2026\u2019 I never signed up for monogamy! I never did.\u201d<\/p>\n Robyn continued to explain their family\u2019s dynamic in her confessional. \u201cSo, Kody and I have been married for about 10 and a half years, and throughout those 10 and a half years, I\u2019ve had Kody at my house<\/a>\u00a0like, once or twice a week. Lately, it\u2019s been constantly, and you know, I\u2019m sure every plural wife is like, \u2018Woo, that\u2019s the way you want it!\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018But that\u2019s not what I signed up for,\u2019 I guess you would say,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd then, on top of that, he\u2019s been really unhappy. He\u2019s been a very unhappy person. And so, it\u2019s been a lot. It\u2019s been a challenge for our relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI have been really like, surprised and kind of horrified in ways, because I\u2019ve been like, \u2018Wait, I thought we were this cohesive unit,\u2019 and we haven\u2019t been,\u201d Robyn added. \u201cAnd it\u2019s been a huge disappointment for me. I guess it is what it is, I just have to respect where she\u2019s at.\u201d<\/p>\n Kody and Robyn appear to still be going strong today despite his other failed marriages.<\/p>\n While\u00a0Janelle also admitted<\/a>\u00a0that the pandemic had added some\u00a0strain to her marriage with Kody<\/a>, the tension that the pandemic caused between\u00a0Kody and Christine seemed to be far greater<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 and it ended up being one of the last straws. Kody and Christine\u00a0announced their split<\/a>\u00a0in November 2021 and on\u00a0Sister Wives<\/em>\u00a0season 16 finale that aired on Sunday, January 23, she shared that Kody\u2019s decision about no longer having an intimate relationship with her because of how she\u2019s been\u00a0\u201cbehaving\u201d amid the pandemic is what ultimately led to their breakup<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWait, so he gets to have an intimate marriage with other wives but not with me?\u201d she said in her confessional.<\/p>\n Just over one year after Christine left Kody,\u00a0<\/em>In Touch<\/em>\u00a0confirmed<\/a>\u00a0Janelle and Kody had called it quits in December 2022. \u201cJanelle is a strong independent woman and realized she can do it on her own,\u201d an insider claimed, adding that she \u201coutgrew him.\u201d<\/p>\n Kody and Meri\u2019s relationship<\/a>\u00a0was also appearing to come to an end in December 2022 after the father of 18 told host\u00a0Sukanya Krishnan<\/b>\u00a0during the\u00a0Sister Wives: One on One\u00a0<\/i>special that he didn\u2019t consider himself married to Meri.
