Love makes the world go round! Ashlee Simpson<\/strong> <\/a>and Evan Ross<\/strong> <\/a>wasted no time starting their lives together after their relationship turned romantic in 2013.<\/p>\n \u201cEvan and Ashlee have been friends for a really long time, probably 10 years<\/a>,\u201d a source told Us Weekly<\/em> in July 2013 after they were spotted out together. \u201cThey have a long bond. They already know each other really well.\u201d<\/p>\n Less than a month later, the twosome confirmed their relationship. They were engaged by January 2014 and tied the knot that August. Simpson gave birth to daughter Jagger<\/a> in 2015.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been wrong a long majority of my life,\u201d Ross told Entertainment Tonight<\/em> after their baby girl was born. \u201cThe biggest thing in this world is in love. I\u2019m so in love. I love my daughter, I love my wife. She\u2019s given me the best gift<\/a> in the world. I\u2019m very lucky.\u201d<\/p>\n Simpson was previously married to Pete Wentz<\/strong><\/a>. The exes, who filed for divorce in 2011 after less than three years of marriage, share son Bronx. The couple and the Fall Out Boy rocker have been open about the importance of maintaining a healthy coparenting relationship over the years<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s important to listen and to give people balance,\u201d Wentz told Us<\/em> in October 2019, noting that Simpson is a \u201cgreat mom.\u201d<\/p>\n Ross is also friendly with Simpson\u2019s ex Ryan Cabrera<\/strong><\/a>, who revealed that the Hunger Games<\/em> actor got permission before he asked the Ashlee Simpson Show<\/em> alum out<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cHe specifically came to my house to come have a chat and be like, \u2018Yo, I wanted to see what you thought about it. Is everything good?\u2019 He knew that I\u2019d be, like, \u2018Oh! All right, cool,\u2019\u201d Cabrera revealed in July 2019. \u201cShe ended up marrying one of my best friends. How it all happened? Who knows. \u2026 L.A. and us all as artists and singers and actors and entertainers essentially, it\u2019s a very small family. Obviously, everybody knows everybody, for the most part. And me and Ashlee were always really, really close. Like, our breakup was pretty \u2026 pretty, pretty smooth \u2014 other than a couple of things. But we remained friends, like, very shortly after we broke up, and then remained friends from that point on. And we were always cool.\u201d<\/p>\n Before announcing they were expecting baby No. 2 in April 2020<\/a>, Simpson and Ross were open about their desire to expand their family<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cEven in the time that we\u2019re working, we look at times where we can make sure we can get away and take trips with the family,\u201d he told Us<\/em> in February 2019. \u201cWe take [the kids] with us. I feel like that\u2019s how I grew up.
