University of Kentucky cheerleader Laken Snelling<\/strong>\u2019s ex-boyfriend Izaiah Hall<\/strong> has provided his DNA to police after she was accused of hiding her baby\u2019s dead body in a closet.<\/p>\n Hall\u2019s father, Justin Smith<\/strong>, told the New York Post<\/a><\/em> in an interview published on Saturday, September 6, that his son recently gave the DNA sample to police involved in the case.<\/p>\n \u201cLexington police had him come down to the station to give a sample,\u201d Smith said. \u201cI don\u2019t know anything on this and we don\u2019t know if Izaiah is the father or not.\u201d<\/p>\n Smith added, \u201cI don\u2019t really want to go into any more detail at this stage.\u201d<\/p>\n Retired NFL Star Randy Moss Shares Big News After Revealing Cancer Diagnosis<\/a><\/p>\n Hall, 21, is a college athlete who plays quarterback at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky. He is also studying Business Administration at the school.<\/p>\n Prior to his college career, Hall attended Anderson County High School in Clinton, Tennessee, which is roughly 50 miles away from where Snelling, 21, was a student at Jefferson County High School in Dandridge, Tennessee.<\/p>\n It is not currently known how long Hall and Snelling dated or when they broke up.<\/p>\n However, Snelling shared several posts on social media with another young man just months before her arrest. She appeared to be in a relationship with the unidentified man and even shared photos from what appeared to be a couples photoshoot via TikTok<\/a> on June 18.<\/p>\n Jennifer Love Hewitt and Husband Brian Hallisay Make First-Ever Joint Public Appearance<\/a><\/p>\n It\u2019s not known if the man in the photos is connected to the death of Snelling\u2019s baby, and it\u2019s also not clear if they were romantically involved at the time of the baby\u2019s death<\/a>.<\/p>\n Snelling first made headlines when she was arrested on August 30 at her home in Lexington, Kentucky. She was charged with Abuse of a Corpse, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Concealing the Birth of an Infant.<\/p>\n The arrest took place three days after authorities were dispatched to the home on August 27 after they received a call about an unresponsive infant. The \u201cinfant was located wrapped in a towel inside of a black trash bag,\u201d according to the arrest citation.<\/p>\n While speaking to authorities, Snelling \u201cadmitted to giving birth\u201d and to \u201cconcealing the birth by cleaning any evidence, placing all cleaning items used inside of a black trash bag, including the infant, who was wrapped in a towel.\u201d<\/p>\n She appeared in court on September 2, where she pleaded not guilty<\/a> to all charges. Snelling was released on $100,000 bond, and she is now on \u201chome incarceration with no ankle monitor\u201d while living with her parents in Tennessee. Her preliminary court hearing is scheduled to take place on September 26.<\/p>\n Following her arrest, the University of Kentucky confirmed she was a student at the school and was a member of the university\u2019s STUNT team. However, a spokesperson for the school confirmed to Us Weekly<\/a><\/em> that she is no longer a student at the college as of September 5.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
