The sister of Minnesota Timberwolves star Naz Reid<\/strong> has died after she was fatally shot on Friday, September 5. She was 28.<\/p>\n

Toraya Reid<\/strong> was shot at Paragon Apartment complex in Jackson Township, New Jersey. According to inmate records reviewed by Us Weekly<\/em>, suspect Shaquille Green, 29, was arrested in connection with the shooting and charged with three separate counts: first-degree murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and unlawful use of weapon.<\/p>\n

Ocean County records also indicate bail has not been set. Sports Illustrated<\/em> reported<\/a> on Sunday, September 7, that Reid and Green were dating at the time of the shooting.<\/p>\n

The outlet also reported that Green was seen \u201crunning on North New Prospect Road\u201d and taken into custody without incident.<\/p>\n

Before the ruling was made, Lanez, 31, spoke in front of Judge David Herriford, asking for leniency. Lanez told the judge that he still cares for Megan, 28, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cA subsequent investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor\u2019s Office Major Crime Unit, Jackson Township Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff\u2019s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, identified Green \u2013 who has been in a dating relationship with Ms. Reid \u2013 as the individual responsible for her death,\u201d the prosecutor\u2019s office said in a statement.<\/p>\n

The pair\u2019s sister, Jakahya Smith<\/strong>, addressed Toraya\u2019s death on Facebook in several posts.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe always send our condolences and say we could never imagine ourselves in that situation\u2026.. and yet here I am,\u201d she wrote on Saturday, September 6. \u201cFacing the unimaginable. Without you by my side I just talked to you last night bro we was ki\u2019ing bout this n**** not even knowing what was waiting on you the very next morning.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cI\u2019ll never get over this. I\u2019ll never forgive god for taking you away from me, idk what kind of sick plan that man above has but I know losing you couldn\u2019t have been apart of it. The whole way home I was just hoping and praying it was some kind of sick joke that you would call me and tell me it wasn\u2019t true. I\u2019m disgusted. I\u2019m hurt. But most of all I\u2019m angry. I will never be okay.\u201d<\/p>\n
