Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy<\/strong> still can\u2019t believe that Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> knows his name \u2014 and is cheering for him on the football field.<\/p>\n

\u201cI ain\u2019t going to lie, it was crazy,\u201d Worthy, 22, said on the Friday, September 5, episode of \u201cThe Pivot\u201d podcast<\/a>. \u201cShe\u2019s the biggest pop star in the generation right now. Like, it\u2019s crazy she\u2019s watching football and getting in tune to it. Trav\u2019s getting it right.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift, 35, started dating Worthy\u2019s Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce<\/strong> in summer 2023, where she quickly learned all about the sport. (Swift and Kelce, 35, got engaged in August<\/a> after two years of dating.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI fell in love with it, [and] I became obsessed with it,\u201d Swift gushed on an episode of Travis and brother Jason Kelce\u2019s \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast last month. \u201cI became a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, \u2018We drafted Xavier Worthy!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tTaylor Swift is a proud member of Chiefs Kingdom in support of boyfriend Travis Kelce. \u201cFootball is awesome, it turns out,\u201d Swift, who started dating the Kansas City Chiefs tight end in summer 2023, told TIME the following December. \u201cI\u2019ve been missing out my whole life.\u201d Swift went to her first Chiefs game in September [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

She added, \u201cMy friends were like, \u2018Who body-snatched you? What do you mean, \u2018We drafted Xavier Worthy?\u2019 I was freaking out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Worthy was drafted by the Chiefs in 2024, and Swift also dropped a \u201clike\u201d<\/a> on the team\u2019s official Instagram announcement at the time.<\/p>\n

Not only has the Life of a Showgirl <\/i>artist been vocal in her support<\/a> for Worthy, but so has her fianc\u00e9.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat people probably don\u2019t know about Trav [is that he\u2019s] an amazing person,\u201d Worthy said on Friday\u2019s episode. \u201cHe\u2019s always going to make sure you\u2019re good and look out [for you]. When I had that situation stuff going on, Trav was one of the first people to reach out to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Worthy was seemingly referring to his breakup from ex-fianc\u00e9e Tia Jones<\/strong>, who accused the NFL rookie of domestic violence earlier this year. Worthy has denied all of Jones\u2019 allegations.<\/p>\n
