The Little Mix singer, 32, who found fame on The X Factor in 2011, shared the news in a short video on Instagram released on Saturday (06.09.25) featuring her hugging her partner before her four-year-old son Axel kisses her baby bump. <\/p>\n
Perrie and 32-year-old Alex, who began dating in 2016 and became engaged in 2022, welcomed Axel on 21 August 2021.<\/p>\n
In her black-and-white pregnancy reveal clip, Perrie wore a white T-shirt emblazoned with the words \u201cIf He Wanted To He Would\u201d \u2013 the title of her recent single \u2013 before she turned to her front and showed off her growing baby bump.<\/p>\n
She captioned the clip: \u201cGuess what hunnies\u2026 .\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMessages of congratulations quickly appeared from friends and fans, but the announcement also followed a candid account Perrie gave of her past experiences with pregnancy loss. <\/p>\n
\nSpeaking on Paul C Brunson\u2019s We Need To Talk podcast earlier this year, she described two miscarriages before and after the birth of Axel.<\/p>\n
\nPerrie said: \u201cSo I had a miscarriage very early on with my first ever pregnancy, and it was so early. I remember finding out I was pregnant. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cObviously, I started bleeding not long after, and I went to the hospital and I had the scan and they were like, \u2018There\u2019s no baby\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe recalled feeling alone at her appointments over her pregnancy, adding: \u201cI was like, \u2018Oh, I\u2019ve made this up. Maybe I got a false positive or something\u2019. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd I remember being on my own at the appointments because nobody was there.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nPerrie explained she also felt anxious throughout her pregnancy with Axel:<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI just wanted to get past the 12-week scan. And when I got past every scan, that pregnancy was complete bliss, it was perfect.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nBut she later endured another loss. <\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cWe fell pregnant again after\u2026 Axel wasn\u2019t even walking yet and we were pregnant.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd then we went for what was a 20-week scan, but we were actually 22 weeks, and that was just the worst day of my life. Like, horrendous.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nReflecting on her relationship with Alex, Perrie credited his calm nature with helping her recover from earlier difficulties. <\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cHe\u2019s very mature. He\u2019s very laid back. He\u2019s very level-headed. He\u2019s not the type to get mad or get angry or get funny about things.\u201d<\/p>\n
