Jack Osbourne<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about the death of dad Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Back on July 22, the Osbourne<\/strong> family announced that the Black Sabbath<\/strong> rocker had passed away at the age of 76<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a new video posted to YouTube<\/a> on Wednesday (September 3), Jack<\/strong>, 39, revealed how he learned about his dad\u2019s death.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>Jack<\/strong> shared that a man, who has worked for their family for 30 years, knocked on the door of his home in Los Angeles at 3:45 in the morning to deliver the sad news.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen I looked through my window and I saw it was him, I knew something bad had happened,\u201d Jack<\/strong> recalled. \u201cI was informed that my father had passed.\u201d<\/p>\n Jack<\/strong> went on to say that he was able to spend extra time with Ozzy<\/strong> during his final days after they stayed in the UK following Ozzy<\/strong>\u2018s final show with Black Sabbath<\/strong> in early July. Jack<\/strong> and his family were planning to go to Portugal on vacation, but canceled at the last minute because his kids got sick with the stomach flu, so they all stayed in England for another week.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve never been more grateful for my kids to have the stomach flu than I am today,\u201d Jack<\/strong> noted.<\/p>\n Jack<\/strong> also said that while he\u2019s sad over his father\u2019s death, he\u2019s at peace knowing the legendary rocker is no longer suffering due to all of his health ailments.<\/p>\n \u201cI wish he was still here, I wish he was, you know, still with us all, but, he was having a rough go and I think people saw that at the show,\u201d Jack<\/strong> said. \u201cBut nobody expected it to happen as quickly as it did and when it did.\u201d<\/p>\n He added, \u201cIt was not anything that was on our radar.\u201d<\/p>\n Jack<\/strong> also shared that before his death, Ozzy<\/strong> was looking forward to a new phase in his life after his final performance and that he wanted to spend more time in England and with his grandchildren.<\/p>\n While getting emotional, Jack<\/strong> told fans how grateful he was to have Ozzy<\/strong> as a father.<\/p>\n \u201cHe was deeply complicated,\u201d he shared. \u201cHe was funny, and weird and awkward and clumsy and just hilarious and so insightful.\u201d<\/p>\n Jack<\/strong> also stressed that despite his declining health, Ozzy<\/strong> \u201cknew what was going on all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPeople may have thought he was checked out, but most of the time he wanted you to think he was checked out,\u201d Jack<\/strong> noted. \u201cBut he was very aware, always.\u201d<\/p>\n You can find out more about Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong>\u2018s cause of death here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
