Raegan Revord<\/strong><\/a> is opening up about their gender identity. <\/p>\n The 17-year-old Young Sheldon<\/strong><\/a><\/em> alum came out as non-binary at the start of this year, reveling their identity as a Twitch streamer and how they identify, using they\/them pronouns. <\/p>\n In fact, they\u2019ve been using those pronouns for even longer, though it wasn\u2019t as known as their Twitch identity was kept mum until their big reveal in January. <\/p>\n Now, Raegan <\/strong>just released their debut novel \u201cRules for Fake Girlfriends<\/a>,\u201d which features a queer love story, and while promoting the book, they dished on what it means to them to live in their authentic self. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so cool because growing up, whenever I would see a celebrity or whoever come out as nonbinary or queer or anything, and I was like, \u2018Oh my God, this is so cool, I see myself in you,\u2019\u201d they told Entertainment Tonight<\/a><\/em>. \u201cAnd now it\u2019s so crazy to have that experience where I\u2019m now that person and there might be a kid somewhere who\u2019s like, \u2018Oh my God, I see myself in you.\u2019 And that\u2019s such an insane thing \u2018cause I was in that kid\u2019s shoes at some point in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n On the book being a queer, romantic comedy adventure, Raegan<\/strong> said it was quite important to have that representation in their book as that hasn\u2019t existed much in the past. <\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s super important to me, because I feel like, it\u2019s crazy to say \u2018growing up\u2019 because I am only 17, but even in 2014 or whatever whenever I was getting more into reading, and broadening my horizons, reading stories, watching TV and stuff, there wasn\u2019t a lot of queer representation,\u201d they dished. \u201cEven in 2014, ten years ago, which is crazy to say.\u201d<\/p>\n You can pick up your own copy of Raegan Revord<\/strong>\u2018s new book \u201cRules for Fake Girlfriends\u201d on Amazon<\/a> now! <\/p>\n Disclosure: Some products on this site use affiliate links and we may earn commission for any purchase made through the links.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
