Kody advised his wives that \u201ceverything was going to hell.\u201d Of particular concern, he claimed, was the safety of their children.<\/p>\n
\u201cSeriously? We lived in Las Vegas. It\u2019s not known as the city of morality \u2014 a football team seemed like the least of our worries,\u201d Christine writes. \u201c<\/p>\n

They had a fairly ideal set-up for a plural marriage, with the wives all as neighbors on a cul-de-sac in custom homes.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne day, out of nowhere, Kody sat us all down and explained that we needed to leave Vegas,\u201d Christine shares. <\/p>\n
She writes that he was \u201csaying it would be safer and better for us financially. She notes that the \u201cfamily\u201d settled on Flagstaff. Of course, since she, Janelle, and Meri weren\u2019t down for that, the \u201cfamily\u201d consisted of Kody and Robyn.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was furious,\u201d Christine expresses. <\/p>\n
\u201cI did not want to take the kids away from their friends and schools. But we were a family and I wanted to be a team player, so I decided to be open-minded about it \u2014 even though I thought it was ridiculous. \u201cKody kept throwing out Flagstaff as a possibility.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ultimately, he pushed the idea that the Coyote Pass property could give the plural marriage a fresh start.<\/p>\n
\u201c[Meri, Janelle and I] believed in Kody and his promise of a reset,\u201d Christine admits.
