Real Housewives of Atlanta <\/span><\/i><\/a>star Kim Zolciak-Biermann<\/a><\/strong> celebrated turning another year older on Friday, May 19, but there was one person who was persona non grata at her birthday festivities \u2013 estranged husband Kroy Biermann<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s celebrating at home with all the kids,\u201d a source told <\/span>People <\/span><\/i><\/a>on Friday. \u201cKroy is not invited to the celebration even though he\u2019s in the house still.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n While this is the first birthday Kim, 45, has celebrated without her longtime partner, the insider noted that she \u201cis in good spirits.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Despite remaining under the same roof, the former couple have been \u201cavoiding each other,\u201d a source previously told <\/span>Us Weekly<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a big house,\u201d the insider added earlier this month of their Alpharetta, Georgia, mansion<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n The mother of six \u2013 who shares children Kaia Rose, Kane Ren, Kash Kade and Kroy Jagger<\/a> with her ex, as well as daughters Brielle<\/a><\/strong> and Ariana<\/strong><\/a>, whom Kroy previously adopted \u2013 didn\u2019t let her divorce stop her from celebrating her big day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cHappy birthday to my best friend,\u201d Ariana, 21, shared via her Instagram Story. \u201cYou are the strongest woman I know!!! Thank you for all do!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Kroy, 37, filed for divorce after 11 years<\/a> of marriage on May 5. Two days later, Kim submitted her own paperwork for a contested divorce<\/a>, <\/span>In Touch<\/span><\/i> confirmed at the time. \u200bWhile the pair filed their paperwork on separate days, both of their filings were entered electronically into the Fulton County Superior Court system on May 8.<\/span><\/p>\n In his May 5 filing, the former football player listed their date of separation as April 30, adding that their marriage was \u201cirretrievably broken<\/a>.\u201d He also asked for sole legal and physical custody of their four minor children, whom he claimed were currently in his care.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Montana native was also seeking child support from his estranged wife as well as \u201cexclusive, temporary and permanent use and possession\u201d of their Georgia home. For her part, Kim was seeking alimony, child support and for her legal fees to be paid.<\/span><\/p>\n The reality stars \u2013 who tied the knot in 2011 \u2013 were in the midst of ongoing financial troubles<\/a> at the time of their filings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
