She did it! Alana \u201cHoney Boo Boo\u201d Thompson<\/strong><\/a> is officially a high school graduate as she walked across the stage in her home state of Georgia.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cTo say I\u2019m proud would be an understatement,\u201d her sister, Lauryn \u201cPumpkin\u201d Efird<\/strong><\/a> shared via Instagram<\/a>, alongside a series of photos smiling next to Alana following the ceremony on Saturday, May 20. \u201cTo be there a witness this next chapter I\u2019m amazed. Amazed at how much you\u2019ve grown, how beautiful your soul is and most importantly how far you\u2019ve come against all odds.\u201d<\/p>\n She added, \u201cTo hear your name be called and to watch you walk, I\u2019m honored truly. I can\u2019t wait to see what this next chapter in your life holds. Please always know I\u2019m your biggest fan.\u201d<\/p>\n In addition to her bright yellow gown, Alana, 17, wore a custom decorated cap<\/a> that read, \u201cI trust the next chapter, because I know the author.\u201d Her cap, which was designed by Kim\u2019s Custom Caps, also featured a bedazzled lace crown, cut-out paper flowers and a pearl and rhinestone outline. Her mother June \u201cMama June\u201d Shannon<\/strong> <\/a>was also present for the big event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m so proud of her she is our 2023 graduate and yes we was hollering the whole time WTG LANA,\u201d she captioned a video from Alana\u2019s ceremony.<\/p>\n Just weeks ahead of her big accomplishment, the former <\/span>Toddlers & Tiaras <\/span><\/i>star attended her senior prom with boyfriend Dralin Carswell<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Alana was dressed to the nines in a stunning custom gown fit for a pageant queen<\/a> as she rocked head to toe sparkles. The pink sleeveless gown featured detailed beadwork throughout the fitted bodice which continued to the mermaid-style train. The reality star added pink rhinestones to her shimmery eyeshadow and pulled her hair into a half up, half down style.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Alana and Dralin arrived at the school\u2019s auditorium \u2013 which was decked out in \u201cCloud 9\u201d themed decor \u2013 in an open carriage pulled by a white horse whose floral and feathered mane accessories complemented the starlet\u2019s gown. For his part, Alana\u2019s boyfriend kept it casual in a white polo shirt and black jeans.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Here Comes Honey Boo Boo <\/span><\/i>alum has had a rocky road to reaching her high school graduation as she was the topic of a heated custody battle between her mom and older sister Pumpkin in 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cPeople don\u2019t understand the custody thing<\/a>,\u201d Mama June told <\/span>Page Six <\/span><\/i>in June 2022 after a court granted Pumpkin custody<\/a> of Alana. \u201cIt\u2019s not that somebody \u2018lost custody.\u2019 In the state of Georgia, you do temporary guardianship every year, and [Alana] had been living with Pumpkin [since] my addiction<\/a>.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n She went on to say that she and Alana still \u201ccommunicate,\u201d \u201cThe only difference is that she\u2019s not sitting here right beside me in my home every day.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n The family first rose to fame<\/a> in 2012 after starring on TLC<\/a>\u2019s <\/span>Toddlers and Tiaras. <\/span><\/i>They went on to land their own spinoff series called <\/span>Here Comes Honey Boo Boo<\/span><\/i>, which aired on the network from 2012 to 2017. June and her daughters<\/a> returned to television for <\/span>Mama June: From Not to Hot,<\/span><\/i> after June underwent a weight loss transformation.
