Sabrina Carpenter has heaped praise on Taylor Swift<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old pop star was just eight years old when she listened to Taylor’s tunes for the first time, and Sabrina admits that it proved to be a life-changing moment.<\/p>\n
The blonde beauty – who has enjoyed huge success in recent years – told CBS Mornings: “I’ve been looking up to her since I was, \u2026 I remember the first time I heard a song by her. I was eight years old on the school bus, and I was \u2026 just like my life was changed.”<\/p>\n
Sabrina actually features on Taylor’s eagerly-awaited new album, The Life of a Showgirl, which is being released in October.<\/p>\n
The Espresso hitmaker was also thrilled by Taylor’s recent engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n
\nSabrina – who opened for Taylor on her record-breaking Eras tour – said: “I’m just happy for them.”<\/p>\n
\nLast year, Sabrina revealed that she considers Taylor to be one of her “best, best friends”.<\/p>\n
\nThe singer admitted that she loved spending time with Taylor and learning from her.<\/p>\n
\nShe told Variety: “Taylor is a rock star! She\u2019s just such a gangster with all of it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n“No matter what people are saying, everything that I\u2019ve ever seen her tackle, she\u2019s done so with grace.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n“The posts about me having to \u2018ask for her permission\u2019 – no. She\u2019s one of my best, best friends, and we grab dinner or text and catch up like you would with your best friend.”<\/p>\n
\nSabrina loves being able to lean on Taylor, 35, for some advice.<\/p>\n
\nThe pop star feels that she can always turn to the Grammy-winning star for career support and advice, as Taylor has experienced so much during her time in the spotlight.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: “It\u2019s so cool for me to get a perspective on this whole process from her and the community of artists that I feel I\u2019m close to – to get advice from them on stuff that you can\u2019t just ask the internet.<\/p>\n
\n“We\u2019re always playing each other our [music], and whenever I start to think, \u2018Maybe I\u2019ll get on Twitter and say something about this,\u2019 I\u2019m always like, \u2018Maybe I\u2019ll write a song instead.'”<\/p>\n
