Selena Gomez<\/strong><\/a> is excited for friend Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> to enter her bridal era.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen bestie gets engaged \ud83e\udd70,\u201d Gomez, 33, wrote via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, August 27, while resharing Swift and Travis Kelce\u2019s internet-breaking engagement post.<\/p>\n

Gomez also included the song \u201cYou\u2019re My Best Friend\u201d by Queen in her post.<\/p>\n

In a subsequent story, Gomez also shared a screenshot of a resurfaced tweet<\/a> Swift, now 35, sent her 16 years ago with advice about looking for love.<\/p>\n

\u201cReal love still happens sometimes,\u201d Swift tweeted to Gomez in 2009. \u201cIt\u2019s not just something we make up when we\u2019re nine. I have to believe that. You do too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift and Gomez formed a friendship in the late 2000s, when they dated members of the Jonas Brothers<\/a>. Swift was briefly linked to Joe Jonas<\/strong>, while Gomez was in an on-and-off relationship with Nick Jonas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were young. We all know and love each other now and it\u2019s so cute,\u201d Gomez said during an August episode of \u201cTherapuss With Jake Shane\u201d podcast. \u201cWe didn\u2019t know what we were doing [at the time]. \u201cForever begins now,\u201d the Only Murders in the Building<\/em> star wrote via Instagram at the time, alongside a photo of her engagement ring.<\/p>\n

Blanco, 37, gushed about his bride-to-be, writing in the comments section, \u201cHey wait \u2026 that\u2019s my wife.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following the couple\u2019s happy news, Swift sent her congratulations<\/a> to Gomez and Blanco while jokingly volunteering to take on a role in their nuptials.<\/p>\n
