Austin Butler has suffered various injuries during his career<\/p>\n
The 34-year-old actor has suffered various injuries throughout his career in Hollywood, including while shooting his new film, Caught Stealing.<\/p>\n
Austin told People: “I was covered in bruises constantly. Every day it was something new.<\/p>\n
“I cut my shin open on a metal thing, I had to hop over something.”<\/p>\n
The movie star then recalled having “piece of glass” in his foot throughout the press tour for Dune: Part Two.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: “That feels dumb when I look back at it.<\/p>\n
\n“When I was on the Dune press tour, I was in Korea doing all these interviews, and I was in a hotel room and I was walking barefoot. I must’ve stepped on a piece of glass.<\/p>\n
\n“But for whatever reason, I thought that it was a nerve thing in my foot. So I just was hobbling around for eight months and then right before we were starting to film [Caught Stealing], I was just pushing through the pain of running.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Austin recently revealed that he slept overnight on a film set to prepare for his role in Caught Stealing.<\/p>\n
\nThe actor plays Hank, a former baseball player-turned-bartender living in New York\u2019s East Village, in the new thriller directed by Darren Aronofsky.<\/p>\n
\nAustin – who is well-known for his immersive approach to acting – told Variety: “For one night, I had the whole apartment to myself. I played music, I danced around, and I ate Chinese food in there. <\/p>\n
\n“It made me feel like I really lived there. I slept there all night, and I woke up to the crew coming in while I was in my underwear.<\/p>\n
\n“It made it feel like it wasn\u2019t a set anymore. There are many things that conspire against you when you\u2019re making a movie. <\/p>\n
\n“You\u2019ve got the lights and the camera and the set doesn\u2019t have a ceiling, because they\u2019ve got to light it from above. <\/p>\n
\n“It\u2019s tempting to look around and break the illusion. So the more I can do to trick myself, the more important it is.”<\/p>\n
