It\u2019s the question asked by panelists on The Masked Singer<\/em><\/a> multiple times in each episode, and the answer is: everybody.<\/p>\n Since the show debuted in January 2019, the celebrity contestants have included Joey Fatone<\/strong><\/a>, Michelle Williams<\/strong><\/a>, Tori Spelling<\/strong><\/a>, Mickey Rourke<\/a><\/strong>, Patti LaBelle<\/strong><\/a>, Kelly Osbourne<\/strong><\/a>, Bret Michaels<\/strong><\/a>, Lil Wayne<\/strong><\/a>, Jordyn Woods<\/strong><\/a>, Wendy Williams<\/strong><\/a>, Brian Austin Green<\/strong><\/a>, Wiz Khalifa<\/strong><\/a> and many more.<\/p>\n More than 75 celebrities have donned elaborate costumes for the Fox series, but only five have ever taken home the top prize: the Golden Mask trophy. As with Dancing With the Stars<\/em><\/a>\u2018 mirrorball trophy, the Golden Mask is highly coveted among contestants.<\/p>\n After Kandi Burruss<\/strong><\/a> won in season 3, her son, Ace, immediately demanded to know where the trophy was. \u201cHe was so excited,\u201d the Real Housewives of Atlanta<\/em><\/a> star told The Hollywood Reporter<\/em> in May 2020. \u201cHe said, \u2018Mommy, did you win?\u2019 And I was like, \u2018Yeah, I won.\u2019 He was like, \u2018Where\u2019s your trophy, mommy?\u2019 But they won\u2019t give you your trophy until after the season ends, so I was just like, \u2018Well, I\u2019ll get it one day.’\u201d<\/p>\n Once the prize did arrive, though, Burruss knew exactly where she was going to display it: \u201cI\u2019m going to put it right next to the Grammy.\u201d<\/p>\n Several Masked Singer<\/em> alums have talked about doing the show because their kids love it<\/a>, but sometimes their children are the hardest viewers to fool. After winning season 5 in May 2021, Nick Lachey<\/a><\/strong> told Us Weekly<\/em> that his three kids with Vanessa Lachey<\/a><\/strong> immediately knew he was under the Piglet mask.<\/p>\n \u201cThey guessed it the first day and said, \u2018Oh, that\u2019s daddy!\u2019\u201d he said of Camden, Brooklyn and Phoenix<\/a>. \u201cI was excited they knew it was me, but that surprise was gone really early.\u201d<\/p>\n Bobby Brown<\/strong><\/a>, who competed as the Crab in season 5, also couldn\u2019t hide the secret from his brood. \u201cI\u2019ve been telling them, \u2018No, it\u2019s not Daddy, Daddy is sitting right here,\u2019\u201d he told Us<\/em> in April 2021<\/a>. \u201cThey thought I ran out and did it before dinner, so they are really confused right now, actually.\u201d<\/p>\n During his time on the show, he dedicated some of his performances to his late children Bobby Brown Jr.<\/a>, who died at 28 in 2020, and Bobbi Kristina Brown<\/a>, who died at 22 in 2015. When he sang the Bill Withers<\/a> classic \u201cAin\u2019t No Sunshine,\u201d he left judge Nicole Scherzinger<\/strong><\/a> in tears.<\/p>\n \u201cThat song means so much to me personally,\u201d he told Us<\/em>. \u201cI put my everything into that performance and it was touching to hear everyone\u2019s comments.\u201d<\/p>\n
