Lil Nas X<\/a> says his arrest was “terrifying”.<\/p>\n

Lil Nas X was arrested in Los Angeles last week<\/p>\n

The Old Town Road rapper was arrested last week after being found walking around in only his underwear in Los Angeles shortly before 6am on Thursday (21.08.25) morning but has now addressed his fans following the incident.<\/p>\n

In a story posted on his Instagram account, Lil Nas X<\/a> said: “Your girl is gonna be OK, y’all. That was f****** terrifying. That was terrifying. That was a terrifying last four days but your girl’s gonna be alright.”<\/p>\n

Authorities claim that the 26-year-old star charged at police after being confronted, leading to his arrest, and he was charged on Monday (25.08.25) with three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one felony count of resisting an executive officer.<\/p>\n

Lil Nas X<\/a> – whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill – pleaded not guilty in a court appearance.<\/p>\n

\nLA county’s district attorney Nathan J Hochman said in a statement relating to the case: “Attacking police officers is more than just a crime against those individuals but a direct threat to public safety.”<\/p>\n

\nHowever, Lil Nas X’s lawyer Christy O’Connor said the incident is an “absolute aberration” for the rapper.<\/p>\n

\nThe legal representative said: “Assuming the allegations here are true, this is an absolute aberration in this person’s life.”<\/p>\n

\nThe star’s father Robert Stafford described his son as “very remorseful” following the incident and insists that he will get the help he needs following the erratic behaviour.<\/p>\n

\nRobert said: “He\u2019s going to get the help that he needs and just keep him in your prayers.<\/p>\n

\n“Give him the same grace and mercy that God gives everyone.”<\/p>\n

\nRobert added that his son is in “good spirits”, adding: “He\u2019s doing great mentally.”<\/p>\n

\nHe said about how they have had an emotional conversation: “We shed tears, we shed laughter, but he\u2019s in great spirits. He\u2019s gonna be great.”<\/p>\n

\nLil Nas X rose to fame with the release of Old Town Road – which topped the US Billboard charts for a record-breaking 19 weeks in 2019 – and explained earlier this year how he was desperate to be liked by “everybody” earlier on in his career and was determined to change his mindset.<\/p>\n

\nHe told People: “I wanna be myself more than ever this era.<\/p>\n

\n“I want to be completely free out there, only doing the things that I wanna do. If I do not want to do it, I’m not doing it.<\/p>\n

\n“If I don’t want be there, I’m not gonna be there. I think it’s more important than ever to really stand in myself and my power and recognise where I’m taking my energy and where I don’t want to take it.”<\/p>\n
