Fox News Digital<\/em><\/a> in an interview published Aug. 25. \u201cBecause I would have simply lent credibility to something that is an egregious lie.\u201d<\/p>\nAccording to Jillian, Netflix\u2019s take on the hit series was riddled with \u201cliterally just lie upon lie.\u201d Rather than add her voice, she said she\u2019s considering a different approach. The 51-year-old revealed that she may team up with some of the show\u2019s original executive producers on a project of their own to present their version of events. \u201cI might do that,\u201d she explained. \u201cThere is talk of that. I might take that path instead, and I think I don\u2019t know that I am necessarily going to need to sue because it\u2019s very timely. It\u2019s very expensive.\u201d Still, she admitted she\u2019s weighing whether the battle is worth it, adding, \u201cI\u2019m choosing my battles because there are a lot to fight.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jillian\u2019s decision comes after the Netflix documentary spotlighted accusations of unethical practices during her tenure, including bullying contestants, dangerously restricting calories, and providing caffeine pills to boost weight loss. She has strongly denied the pill allegations, telling TMZ<\/em> she never offered anything of the sort.<\/p>\nThat said, Jillian doesn\u2019t claim her time on The Biggest Loser<\/em> was flawless. \u201cThere were a lot of mistakes made,\u201d she acknowledged to Fox<\/em>, though she emphasized there were \u201cvery few\u201d that she had any control over. She took some accountability, saying, \u201cNow, here\u2019s where the blame lies at my feet: \u2018Well, you participated, and you benefited, and you profited,\u2019 and I did. I felt very strongly that I was able to move the needle in the direction I wanted for many seasons. I thought like, \u2018Well, the good outweighs the bad by a long shot.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\nHer off-screen drama hasn\u2019t been limited to Netflix, either. Recently, Bob Harper told The Guardian<\/em> that Jillian never reached out after his 2017 heart attack, which he found telling. \u201cWe weren\u2019t besties, but we were partners on a television show for a very long time,\u201d Bob said. \u201cSo when she didn\u2019t reach out, it spoke volumes.\u201d<\/p>\nJillian fired back on the Hot Mics with Billy Bush podcast on Aug. 20, admitting she was \u201cshocked and disappointed\u201d by his comments. Still, she added, \u201cI actually do hope that Bob is happy and well.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
