\t\t<\/p>\n Gavin Casalegno<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out about the hate on his character in The Summer I Turned Pretty<\/strong><\/a><\/em>. <\/p>\n The 25-year-old actor plays Jeremiah Fisher on the Prime Video<\/strong><\/a> series, a character whose actions has caused a lot of divisiveness among fans. <\/p>\n While the character gets a lot of hate, Gavin<\/strong> has also faced hate himself, with people taking out their anger for Jeremiah on him. <\/p>\n In a new interview, Gavin<\/strong> opened up about the amount of hate against him and the character. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThey tend to dislike him, yes,\u201d he told The New York Times<\/a><\/em>. \u201cI don\u2019t check Instagram anymore, so I haven\u2019t really seen that much hate. The only thing that I see is my sister sending me the memes that are really funny.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s important to also understand and realize that this is a fictional story\u2014and it\u2019s also not me,\u201d he continued. \u201cI don\u2019t think there\u2019s a single human being in the world who can carry the emotional negativity to the degree that stuff like this happens.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd I think that\u2019s why Amazon did a good job of stepping in and being like, \u2018Hey, no bullying.\u2019 Though, not really going so well,\u201d Gavin<\/strong> added. <\/p>\n Ahead of the new season\u2019s debut earlier this summer, the show\u2019s official Instagram account shared a series of posts warning fans not to harass the show\u2019s cast<\/a> on social media.<\/p>\n If you missed it, there are still four episodes remaining of the third and final season.
