Gavin Rossdale has a fear of birds<\/p>\n
The 59-year-old musician has revealed that his long-standing fear of the animals can be traced back to watching The Birds, the Alfred Hitchcock-directed horror-thriller film.<\/p>\n
Speaking about his biggest fear, Gavin – who is best known as the lead singer of the rock band Bush – told Us Weekly: “Alfred Hitchcock f***** me up. Birds, I have a problem with.<\/p>\n
“I must\u2019ve seen The Birds when I was very young and those flapping things. Honestly, I could take on a rabid dog. I got horses. I\u2019m okay with animals, [except] a flapping little bird in a room.”<\/p>\n
Gavin also confessed to being loathed to throw things away, describing himself as a “hoarder”.<\/p>\n
\nThe London-born star shared: “I\u2019m a bit of a hoarder. I don\u2019t like giving stuff away.”<\/p>\n
\nMeanwhile, Gavin recently insisted that he’s careful “not to push” music on his children.<\/p>\n
\nThe rock star – who has Kingston, 19, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 11, with his ex-wife Gwen Stefani – insisted that he wants his kids to find their own path in life.<\/p>\n
\nGavin – who also has model Daisy, 36, with Pearl Lowe – told Us Weekly: “I\u2019m really careful not to push. I\u2019m their dad \u2014 father, not friend.<\/p>\n
\n“Now, if they discover it independently, that\u2019s when it\u2019s, like, I don\u2019t want it to suck.”<\/p>\n
\nDespite this, Gavin’s kids are already fans of his music.<\/p>\n
\nHe shared: “So I put it together and my son Zuma came in. He goes, \u2018What you working on?\u2019 I was like, \u2018Check it out.\u2019 And I did think he\u2019d be impressed.<\/p>\n
\n“This is why I don\u2019t do this stuff normally. So I played it. I said, \u2018Yeah, just put this together, no big.\u2019 He goes \u2014 and he\u2019s [giving] me the poo face \u2014 he goes, \u2018You\u2019re not putting that out, are you?\u2019 I said, \u2018Well, I was thinking of it. Why, is there something particularly wrong with it?\u2019 He goes, Machinehead is legendary. I dunno about that.\u2019 And then left the room. Destroyed me. Killed me.”<\/p>\n
