CBS\u2019 top-tier slate of TV shows means there\u2019s a lot of options when it comes to possible crossover<\/a> episodes with Matlock<\/em>.<\/p>\n

During an exclusive interview with Us Weekly<\/em>, Jason Ritter<\/strong><\/a> revealed which CBS show had his vote.<\/p>\n

\u201cElsbeth is right there. Not only are we on the same night, it\u2019s the world of law,\u201d Ritter, 45, shared while promoting his upcoming hosting gig at The Festival of Arts\u2019 California Dreamin<\/a>\u2019: A Benefit for the Arts on Saturday, August 23. \u201cI just think it would be so fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ritter could see the fictional worlds molding perfectly.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tMatlock has a lot of questions to answer after multiple shocking reveals in the finale \u2014 but will every fan favorite character return for season 2? During the Thursday, April 17, finale of the hit CBS series, Olympia (Skye P. Marshall) realized that her ex-husband, Julian (Jason Ritter), was responsible for hiding the Wellbrexa documents. [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cI love Carrie Preston so much and I think she\u2019s brilliant. I would love to see that Elsbeth energy on an episode of Matlock \u2014 or some of us over in an episode of Elsbeth,\u201d he continued. \u201cSometimes they do two episodes of each show where they cross into each other. So that would be so fun. That would be my dream.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another show on Ritter\u2019s wishlist is Justin Hartley<\/strong>\u2018s Tracker<\/em><\/a>. \u201cIf Tracker ever wants a partner [for Justin\u2019s character, Colter], maybe Julian leaves the firm and he starts a new life,\u201d Ritter joked. \u201cJust two rugged guys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ritter is currently filming season 2 of CBS\u2019 hit series Matlock<\/em>, which picks up after his<\/a> character, Julian, was revealed to be the one who hid documents that would have taken opioids off the streets sooner.<\/p>\n

\u201c[In season 1], Julian was in the middle of a divorce, but he was going through his life with his skeletons safely in his closet. Now, with the affair coming out \u2014 and then with the other big reveal coming out \u2014 he\u2019s in a new boat,\u201d Ritter teased. \u201cThere is no pretending with [his ex-wife] Olympia anymore. Or compartmentalizing and putting [things] away in a dark and shameful drawer.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fan-favorite character will have to face his mistakes<\/a> when Matlock<\/em> returns. \u201cJulian is going to have to grapple \u2014 one way or another \u2014 with this. It\u2019s such a shameful thing that he has just put it away, tried to be a good dad and focused on his family,\u201d Ritter explained. \u201cNow, he is grappling with the ramifications of what he did. Also he\u2019s terrified.\u201d<\/p>\n
