\t\t<\/p>\n Riz Ahmed<\/strong><\/a> is sharing his interesting idea to revamp American politics<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n While on an episode of the TikTok series Subway Takes<\/em><\/a> published Saturday (August 23), the 42-year-old The Night Of<\/em><\/strong><\/a> actor said that his take is about getting rid of elections entirely. <\/p>\n Although Riz<\/strong> suggested doing away with elections, he also shared an interesting alternative that can choose elected officials instead. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe need to stop having all elections of any kind. And we need to choose all of our politicians and leaders through a completely randomized lottery system,\u201d Riz<\/strong> shared in the video.<\/p>\n Kareem Rahma<\/strong>, host of the Subway Takes<\/em> series, said that he \u201c100%\u201d disagrees with Riz<\/strong>\u2018s idea. He said, \u201cThat\u2019s one of the worst ideas I\u2019ve ever heard in my life. I\u2019m genuinely shocked that you\u2019re saying that.\u201d<\/p>\n Riz<\/strong> defended his idea by pointing out that voter turnout has a pretty low average each election cycle anyway. Riz<\/strong> said, \u201cWell, first of all, no one really votes that much anymore. I mean, turnout is pretty low.\u201d <\/p>\n Although Kareem<\/strong> continued to disagree and shared his concerns for who would randomly be chosen for election, Riz<\/strong> compared the idea to the jury duty system.
