UPDATE: 8\/20\/25, 3:00 p.m. ET<\/strong>: The wait is over! Dawson\u2019s Creek<\/em><\/a> fans are finally getting an in-person reunion next month after James Van Der Beek<\/strong><\/a> teased on social media that something was in the works.<\/p>\n

OG stars Van Der Beek, Michelle Williams<\/strong><\/a>, Katie Holmes<\/strong><\/a> and Joshua Jackson<\/strong><\/a> are teaming up with F Cancer for a charity event in New York City on Monday, September 22, according to an official press release.<\/p>\n

Their former castmates Mary Beth Peil<\/strong>, John Wesley Shipp<\/strong>, Mary-Margaret Humes<\/strong>, Nina Repeta<\/strong>, Kerr Smith<\/strong>, Meredith Monroe<\/strong> and Busy Philipps<\/strong><\/a> will all be part of the event, which includes a live reading of the show\u2019s pilot to benefit the charity and Van Der Beek, who is currently battling stage 3 colorectal cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe grew up in Capeside and that\u2019s a bond that will last a lifetime,\u201d Williams said in a statement, referring to the iconic location of the WB series. \u201cWe wanted to gather around our dear friend James and remind him that we are all here. We always have been and we always will be. And I know the fans of Dawson\u2019s Creek<\/em> feel the same way.\u201d<\/p>\n

The show\u2019s creator Kevin Williamson<\/strong> will be on hand to celebrate the reunion, which will be directed by Jason Moore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

James Van Der Beek<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0hinted at a Dawson\u2019s Creek<\/em><\/a> reunion in a cryptic social media message, and fans don\u2019t want to wait another minute for more details.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we were truly meant to be, then we\u2019ll find a way back to each other,\u201d the post read via Van Der Beek\u2019s Instagram<\/a>\u00a0on Wednesday, August 20, quoting a line from the iconic WB series.<\/p>\n

The only other details listed are a date and city: September 22, 2025, in New York City.<\/p>\n

The social media clip included a throwback Polaroid of Dawson\u2019s Creek<\/em>\u2019s four main characters, Dawson Leery<\/a> (Van Der Beek), Joey Potter (Katie Holmes<\/strong><\/a>), Pacey Witter (Joshua Jackson<\/strong><\/a>) and Jen Lindley (Michelle Williams<\/strong><\/a>).<\/p>\n

The show\u2019s theme song, \u201cI Don\u2019t Want to Wait\u201d by Paula Cole<\/strong> played in the background, sending longtime fans into a tailspin at what could be happening.<\/p>\n

Van Der Beek, 48, didn\u2019t give any more context into his social media tease, but his former costar Busy Philipps<\/strong><\/a> added fuel to the reunion fire on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Philipps, 46, who played Audrey Liddell during the show\u2019s college years, posted the same throwback Polaroid<\/a> of the OG stars with the same quote via her own Instagram post. She didn\u2019t share any other details but did tag Van Der Beek, Jackson, 47, and Holmes, 46. Williams, who is Philipps\u2019 longtime BFF, doesn\u2019t have a social media account.<\/p>\n
