Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> shared juicy new details regarding her upcoming 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>, during her \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast debut.<\/p>\n

The pop superstar, 35, revealed the official release date for the record \u2014 Friday, October 3 \u2014 while discussing the project with boyfriend Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> and his cohost brother, Jason Kelce<\/strong><\/a>, during the Wednesday, August 13, episode of their show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was something that I was working on while I was in Europe on the Eras Tour<\/em><\/a>. I just love it. I just love it a lot,\u201d Swift said of the record. \u201cI love music.\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer noted that she would fly to Sweden amid tour breaks to record. \u201cWorking on this, I was physically exhausted, at this point in the tour, but I was so mentally stimulated and so excited to be creating,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

Swift explained that she worked with her \u201cmentor\u201d Max Martin<\/strong> and Shellback<\/strong> for the album, who have previously worked on \u201csome of my favorite songs I\u2019ve ever done before.\u201d They were her \u201cmain collaborators\u201d on Red<\/em> and tracks including, \u201cWe Are Never Getting Back Together,\u201d \u201cBlank Space\u201d and \u201c22.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve made songs that I\u2019m so proud of,\u201d she said, revealing, \u201cWe\u2019ve never made an album before where it\u2019s just the three of us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift teased, \u201cIt felt like catching lightening in a bottle, honestly.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the podcast, Swift further detailed what fans can expect, saying, \u201cThis album is about what was going on behind-the-scenes in my inner life during this tour which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant.\u201d<\/p>\n

She gushed, \u201cIt comes from the most infectiously, joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in my life. So that effervescence has come through on this record. Like you said, bangers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift added, \u201cThis is the record I\u2019ve been wanting to make for a very long time. \u2026 It\u2019s just right.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift also unveiled the album cover via her website<\/a> on Wednesday, which includes The Life of a Showgirl: Sweat and Vanilla Perfume<\/em> portofino orange glitter vinyl option, the CD with poster and the cassette versions. There are three additional color options \u2014 It\u2019s Frightening<\/em> (red), It\u2019s Rapturous<\/em> (purple) and It\u2019s Beautiful<\/em> (silver).<\/p>\n

The musician shared the track list as well, which includes 12 new songs (for her 12th album, of course), starting with \u201cThe Fate of Ophelia,\u201d \u201cElizabeth Taylor,\u201d \u201cOpalite,\u201d \u201cFather Figure\u201d and \u201cEldest Daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rest of the tracks are, \u201cRuin the Friendship,\u201d \u201cActually Romantic,\u201d \u201cWi$h Li$t,\u201d \u201cWood,\u201d \u201cCancelled!,\u201d \u201cHoney\u201d and \u201cThe Life of a Showgirl\u201d featuring Sabrina Carpenter<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Swift announced her 12th album<\/a> was in the works in a clip from her \u201cNew Heights\u201d appearance.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I wanted to show you something,\u201d she told Travis, 35, and Jason, 37, in the footage shared via social media on Tuesday, April 12.<\/p>\n

Swift then opened a green case with her initials on it in orange font and took out her upcoming record, the cover of which had been blurred out.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Taylor Nation \u2014 Swift\u2019s inhouse social media marketing team \u2014 posted a series of photos via Instagram<\/a> on Monday, August 11, showing the singer in various orange costumes on stage during her history-making Eras Tour<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Soon after the tease, Swift\u2019s website launched a countdown<\/a> that expired on August 12 at 12:12 a.m. ET, at which time she announced The Life of a Showgirl<\/em>.<\/p>\n
