Sandra Bullock<\/a> admits being stalked her turned her home into her “fortress”.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Sandra Bullock has opened up on her 2014 stalker<\/p>\n
In 2014, the 61-year-old star was left terrified after a mentally unwell stalker broke into her house while she was there, and she’s still affected by the incident over a decade later.<\/p>\n
She told Vanity Fair magazine: “It makes me think, Do I really have to go outside and navigate the world?<\/p>\n
“There\u2019s the cases where they got into the house, the cases where they\u2019re outside the house, the cases where you\u2019re on a film set and they figured out where you are, and the cases that no one hears about.<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s ongoing. It\u2019s not a one-off. And it does create a mindset where your home also unfortunately becomes your fortress.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nSandra’s close friend Jennifer Aniston, 56, was at home in May this year when a 48-year-old man – who has been accused of stalking, which he has denied – allegedly drove into her gate.<\/p>\n
\nThe Friends actress said: \u201cPeople are out of their minds. Who wants to put that energy out there.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nShe insisted her security team is “not glamorous in any way”, instead describing it as “a necessity”.<\/p>\n
\nSandra admitted the two friends encourage each other to leave the comfort of their own homes.<\/p>\n
\nShe admitted: \u201cThere\u2019s a motivation of going, \u2018Okay, we need to go somewhere. Where are we going?\u2019\u2009\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJennifer quipped: \u201cI\u2019m desperately trying not to Howard Hughes myself.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe duo also try to help each other get over their fear of flying, as Sandra joked the pair look “pathetic” when they’re on a plane together.<\/p>\n
\nShe joked: \u201cThe two of us on a plane\u2014it\u2019s the most pathetic thing to look at. Usually it\u2019s us grabbing each other\u2019s arms from across the table with our heads down.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nFor Jennifer, her own fears subside when her friends are scared in the same moment.<\/p>\n
\nShe revealed: “All of a sudden, my fear falls away and I get to take care of them.<\/p>\n
\n“When there\u2019s someone in need of being calmed, I have such empathy for it that all of a sudden my fear goes out the window.\u201d<\/p>\n
