John Leguizamo<\/strong><\/a> condemned former Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman<\/em> star Dean Cain<\/strong><\/a> for volunteering to join the United States\u2019 Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.) department.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat kind of loser volunteers to be an ICE officer?\u201d the Encanto<\/em> actor, 65, asked via Instagram<\/a> on Friday, August 9. \u201cWhat a moron! Dean Cain, your pronouns are has\/been.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leguizamo captioned the post: \u201c#DeanCain volunteered to be an ICE agent! I got one word for you: LOSER!\u201d<\/p>\n

Frank Grillo<\/strong> \u2014 who starred in the 2025 Superman<\/em> movie \u2014 seemingly agreed with Leguizamo, but disagreed slightly with his friend\u2019s description of Cain as a \u201chasbeen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Never was.\u2019 hahahahha,\u201d Grillo, 60, replied.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tDean Cain is sharing his reservations about James Gunn\u2019s newest version of Superman. \u201cFor Superman, it was truth, justice and the American way,\u201d Cain, 58, recalled in an interview with TMZ published Wednesday, July 10. \u201cWell, they dropped that. They let it go. They let that trademark on that go. They came up with truth, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Academy Award nominee Tatum O\u2019Neal<\/strong>, Empire<\/em> cocreator Lee Daniels<\/strong> and Purple Rain<\/em> actress Apollonia Kotero<\/strong> also showed their support for Leguizamo\u2019s stance.<\/p>\n

Cain, 59, announced earlier this week via social media that he planned to seek employment with the immigration agency, which has carried out deportation raids throughout the country since Donald Trump<\/strong> took office as president in January.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor those who don\u2019t know, I am a sworn law enforcement officer, as well as being a filmmaker. I felt it was important to join with our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans,\u201d Cain explained via Instagram . \u201cNot just talk about it \u2014 so I joined up. Here\u2019s your opportunity to join ICE.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Hit the Floor<\/em> actor added, \u201cIf you want to help save America, ICE is arresting the worst of the worst and removing them from America\u2019s streets. I like that, I voted for that. They need your help to protect our homeland and our families.\u201d<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security confirmed to the Associated Press<\/em><\/a> on Thursday, August 7, that Cain would be sworn in as an \u201chonorary ICE Officer\u201d later this month.<\/p>\n

Several of Cain\u2019s Hollywood contemporaries took issue with Cain\u2019s alignment with ICE, with former Glee<\/em> star Kevin McHale<\/strong> branding him a \u201cf***ing pathetic loser\u201d<\/a> via X on Thursday, August 7.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, I know the entertainment business is in shambles, but imagine being so out of work and desperate for attention (I would know) that you join ICE?\u201d McHale replied to Cain.<\/p>\n

Comedian Margaret Cho<\/strong> questioned why Cain would want to take part in ICE immigration raids given his Japanese-American heritage. (Cain has previously said that members of his family were interred at the Minidoka War Relocation Center in central Idaho during World War II.)<\/p>\n

Perhaps one of the most polarizing cameos belonged to Ed Sheeran on HBO\u2019s Game of [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re Japanese. You\u2019re not even white,\u201d Cho said via Instagram<\/a>. \u201cYou\u2019re not white. I know you, and you are not white. You have never been white. And no matter how many of these white activities that you participate in, [it] is never gonna make that happen.\u201d<\/p>\n
