Jeff<\/strong> spoke to The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> about why he decided to let Mike<\/strong> come back to the island and how it feels to have him play again. <\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s arguably the single best storyteller we\u2019ve ever had on Survivor<\/em>,\u201d Jeff<\/strong> said of the filmmaker. \u201cMike<\/strong> is one of the most peculiar and loving people I\u2019ve ever met. He\u2019s so authentic. He does exactly what he wants on his terms, and the results clearly speak for themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n Jeff<\/strong> said he\u2019s not surprised that Mike<\/strong> wanted to play Survivor<\/em> again despite being the creator of such a massively popular TV show. According to Jeff<\/strong>, Survivor<\/em> fits right in with what Mike<\/strong> writes about on The White Lotus<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cI think that\u2019s part of why he does it \u2014 he\u2019s out there in a real incubator of human behavior where you never know what\u2019s going to happen, but what you do know is that if you show up to play Survivor<\/em>, you can study it,\u201d Jeff<\/strong> said of the filmmaker\u2019s return. \u201cAnd when you watch White Lotus<\/em>, what are you watching? You\u2019re watching human behavior all day. I think that\u2019s part of the reason Mike<\/strong> is back, and if you don\u2019t understand that, maybe you\u2019re asking the wrong question.\u201d <\/p>\n Although Jeff<\/strong> said he\u2019s a fan of The White Lotus<\/em>, he said he doesn\u2019t want Mike<\/strong> to write him into a cameo on the show. <\/p>\n \u201cNo, Mike<\/strong> should never put me on White Lotus<\/em>,\u201d Jeff<\/strong> said but went on to praise Mike<\/strong>\u2018s abilities. He added, \u201cI really love the cameos and how he uses people.
