The penultimate episode of And Just Like That<\/em><\/a> might have left some big hints about Carrie\u2019s future<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During the Thursday, August 7, episode of the HBO Max series, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker<\/strong><\/a>) helps Miranda (Cynthia Nixon<\/strong>) prepare to host Thanksgiving by placing an order for (too many) pies at a bakery in her old neighborhood. \u201cI\u2019m walking down my old street. It\u2019s so strange that I don\u2019t live here anymore,\u201d Carrie says over the phone.<\/p>\n

While Miranda remarks that \u201cit\u2019s so weird\u201d how quickly people move on when they change apartments, Carrie isn\u2019t so sure. \u201cI don\u2019t know, I think part of me still lives here,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

Carrie then bumps into her former neighbor Lisette (Katerina Tannanbaum<\/strong>), who moved into Carrie\u2019s unit when she left for Gramercy Park.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat are you doing here?\u201d Lisette asks, as Carrie teases with a straight face, \u201cI want my place back.\u201d<\/p>\n

The women catch up on the sidewalk before Lisette invites Carrie to her pre-Thanksgiving celebration. Later, Carrie gets a surprising real estate proposition<\/a> from Seema (Sarita Choudhury<\/strong>) and gets nostalgic about her old home.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got a call from the rep for the family who owns the apartment below you. They wanted to know if you\u2019re interested in buying it,\u201d she says, confirming Duncan (Jonathan Cake<\/strong>) won\u2019t be renewing his lease on the space downstairs. \u201cThey\u2019re coming to you before they put it on the market.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carrie insists she doesn\u2019t need more space, but Seema says there\u2019s more value in owning the entire property. The conversation then takes an awkward turn as Carrie dwells on her split from Aidan (John Corbett<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy am I so upset right now?\u201d Carrie replies. \u201cI don\u2019t know if it\u2019s because I was harboring the idea that Duncan would come back or because I feel like you\u2019re saying I should resell. \u2026 Because of course, it\u2019s too big for one person. I bought it with a plan and it didn\u2019t happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

When she shows up for Lisette\u2019s party, Carrie walks into a nearly unrecognizable apartment. A wall separates the entryway into two, leaving Carrie confused as she introduces herself to Lisette\u2019s roommate, Ezekiel. While taking the grand tour with Lisette, she finds another wall separating the bedroom.<\/p>\n

Lisette goes on to explain that the arrangement is less about affording rent and more about her being too \u201cfreaked out\u201d about living alone. \u201cI thought after all these years of roommates that I would love it, but I didn\u2019t dig it at all. \u2026 Doesn\u2019t it bother you?
