\nThe rapper, 55, is currently languishing in jail awaiting his sentencing in October after his recent trial, and his lawyer Marc Agnifilo has now told CBS Mornings that the I\u2019ll Be Missing You vocalist has his sights set on the stadium as part of his rehabilitation and reconnection with fans.<\/p>\n
\nMr Agnifilo told anchor Jericka Duncan: \u201cHe\u2019s going to be back at Madison Square Garden\u202f\u2013 and I said I\u2019ll be there.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nThe attorney added Combs wants to \u201cget back with his mother, and the people who love him and miss him.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nMr Agnifilo continued: \u201cI think he wants to get out of jail, reestablish a loving, present relationship with all of his seven children.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nEricka asked: \u201cSo he\u2019s talked to you about getting back into music?\u201d <\/p>\n
\nMr Agnifilo responded: \u201cNo\u202f\u2013 honestly, he has not\u202f\u2013 OK, one thing he said\u2026 he\u2019s \u2018going to be back in Madison Square Garden\u2019.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nWhen Ericka pressed, \u201cDoing what?\u201d, Mr Agnifilo replied: \u201cI guess being on stage, you know?\u201d <\/p>\n
\nHe also characterised Combs as someone who \u201calways going to strive to do something\u2026 exceptional and probably demanding and challenging.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nCombs was convicted on 2 July in New York federal court on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, though he was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges. <\/p>\n
\nHe faces up to 20 years in prison and remains in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, with sentencing scheduled for 3 October 2025. <\/p>\n
\nJudge Arun Subramanian denied bail \u2013\u00a0for the fifth time \u2013\u00a0citing Combs as a flight risk and danger to the community.<\/p>\n
\nAs speculation mounts over a possible presidential pardon for the rapper, another member of Combs\u2019s legal team, Nicole Westmoreland, has said: \u201cIt\u2019s my understanding that we\u2019ve reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nShe added: \u201cCombs is a very hopeful person, and I believe that he remains hopeful.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nU.S. President Donald Trump, who once had a cordial relationship with Combs, has said a pardon is more likely a \u201cno\u201d given past disputes. <\/p>\n
\nHe described Combs as \u201cessentially\u2026 half\u2011innocent,\u201d but warned their changed relationship makes clemency difficult.<\/p>\n
\nCombs has been incarcerated since his arrest in September 2024, with defence motions for release \u2013\u00a0including a $50\u202fmillion bond and strict travel restrictions \u2013\u00a0consistently rejected in court.<\/p>\n
