Lindsay Lohan<\/strong> <\/a>is reflecting on the cost of spending her formative years in the spotlight.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t ever want my family to experience being chased by the paparazzi the way I was,\u201d Lohan, 39, told The Times of London <\/i><\/a>in a Saturday, August 2, profile. \u201cThey were terrifying moments I had in my life. I have PTSD to the extreme from those things.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lohan started acting in 1998, when she landed her breakout role in The Parent Trap<\/i><\/a>. Since then, <\/i>she has been at the center of often relentless media attention. Speaking to The Times<\/i>, Lohan recalled dealing with \u201creally scary\u201d and \u201cthe most invasive situations.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI pray stuff like that never comes back,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s not safe. It\u2019s not fair.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLindsay Lohan is no stranger to the spotlight. After modeling as a child, Lohan starred as twins Annie James and Hallie Parker in 1998\u2019s The Parent Trap alongside Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson. Following the movie\u2019s success, she scored a three-film contract with Disney. \u201cI was 10 when I did Parent Trap,\u201d Lohan recalled to [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Lohan, who was born in New York and later lived in Los Angeles, has since moved to Dubai, where she met now-husband Bader Shammas<\/strong><\/a>. The pair reside in the United Arab Emirates with their 2-year-old son, Luai.<\/p>\n

\u201cI lived like that and it\u2019s not who I am. Dubai is a safe place where we can just have a normal life, outside of what I call \u2018the noise,\u2019\u201d Lohan explained to the British newspaper. \u201c[It is] where my husband and I can see what is right for our child. It\u2019s not about me anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lohan and Shammas, 38, have also made a conscious decision to keep Luai out of the limelight, opting against sharing photos of his face<\/a> on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something my husband and I discuss all the time. \u2018Do we want to show our son?\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cWe will know when the time might be right, but it\u2019s also a protection.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Freakier Friday <\/i>actress added, \u201cKids are so pure, such a clean slate, and they are learning everything for the first time \u2014 it is beautiful. I want to relive those moments with my son, like I have never seen them before.\u201d<\/p>\n
