Harrison Ford has one rule for working with wife<\/p>\n
The 83-year-old actor and his 60-year-old actress wife have never shared the screen together and although Harrison is open to the idea, he wants it to be \u201csomeone else\u2019s idea\u201d.<\/p>\n
He explained to Variety: \u201cIf we get to work together, we\u2019d want it to be someone else\u2019s idea. That kind of casting might not be the best way to bring people into an imagined situation, because [audiences] may say, \u2018Oh, I know they\u2019re married; now I\u2019m not even thinking about the movie anymore.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
Harrison also insisted he has no plans to retire, because \u201cthat\u2019s one of the things I thought was attractive about the job of an actor, was that they need old people, too, to play old people\u2019s parts\u201d.<\/p>\n
Harrison has recently been nominated for an Emmy for his role as Dr. Paul Rhoades, a senior therapist with Parkinson\u2019s disease, in Shrinking.<\/p>\n
\nMichael J. Fox, 64 – who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 1991 at the age of 29 \u2013 has joined the cast for the show\u2019s upcoming third season and Harrison says he has been \u201cessential\u201d in helping him to accurately portray his character\u2019s journey with the illness.<\/p>\n
\nHe said: \u201cIt\u2019s been essential. Michael\u2019s courage, his fortitude and his grace, more than anything else, is on full display. He\u2019s very smart, very brave, noble, generous, passionate guy, and an example to all of us, whether we\u2019re facing Parkinson\u2019s or not. You cannot help but see how amazing it is to have such grace.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cSo, he gives me both a physical representation of the disease to inform myself with, but more than that, he allows me to believe that Paul could believe that he could be adequate to the challenge. The truth is that we can\u2019t be f****** around with this just to make a joke or anything. Parkinson\u2019s is not funny. And I want to get it right. It\u2019s necessary to be correct with what we do in respect of the challenge that Parkinson\u2019s represents, and that we don\u2019t use it for its entertainment value.\u201d<\/p>\n
