\u201cIf you\u2019ve experienced this disease or know someone who has \u2014 then you\u2019re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.\u201d<\/p>\n
Timberlake said when he was first diagnosed he \u201cwas shocked,\u201d but helped him better understand the way he was feeling onstage.<\/p>\n
\u201cAt least I could understand why I would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness,\u201d he explained. \u201cI was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I\u2019m so glad I kept going,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cNot only did I prove my mental tenacity to myself but, I now have so many special moments with all of you that I will never forget. I was reluctant to talk about this because I was always raised to keep something like this to yourself. But I am trying to be more transparent about my struggles so that they aren\u2019t misinterpreted,\u201d Timberlake explained.<\/p>\n
\n<\/blockquote>\nThe singer says he hopes that by being open about his private battles that \u201cwe can all find a way to be more connected. I\u2019d like to do my part to help others experiencing this disease too.\u201d<\/p>\n
Timberlake continued his reflection by sharing a thank you message to all the fans \u201cwho cam to see me on The Forget Tomorrow Tour or JT Live \u201825 (or any other tour or show throughout the years for that matter).\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYour energy and love continues to humble me. Your signs, messages, and DIY t-shirts have made me laugh and smile so many times. And, hearing and watching you all sing these songs, word for word, at the top of your lungs, will forever leave me in awe. You have made my dreams come true.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a message to his crew, band, singers, and dancers, Timberlake says \u201cit takes a special type of person\u201d to tour, calling tour life \u201clike nothing else.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou all have been such a beautiful family away from home for me. I will always treasure our time these last couple of years together. There really is no way to put into words the feeling of being on a stage and getting to share the experience of live music with all of you. It\u2019s a vibration of frequency that is unmatched. Sacred to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
As for his future, Timberlake says he \u201chonestly don\u2019t know what my future is onstage but I\u2019ll always cherish this run! And all of them before! It\u2019s been the stuff of LEGEND for me,\u201d something he says he doesn\u2019t take \u201cfor granted.\u201d<\/p>\n
