Heather Rae El Moussa<\/strong><\/a> addressed the ongoing cancellations at HGTV \u2014 and what it means for season 2 of The Flip Off<\/em>.<\/p>\n The reality star, 37, spoke exclusively with Us Weekly<\/em> while promoting a new PETA campaign<\/a> that features her 2-year-old son, Tristan, and revealed whether she heard from the network after seven shows were pulled off the air so far.<\/p>\n \u201cWe actually haven\u2019t. Obviously, I do know they are going through big internal changes, so I\u2019m not quite sure what\u2019s going on there,\u201d Heather, who has appeared on The Flip Off, Flipping 101<\/em> and The Flipping El Moussas<\/em> with husband Tarek El Moussa<\/strong>, shared. \u201cI don\u2019t have a statement for that, but I can say how much I\u2019ve enjoyed being on HGTV.\u201d<\/p>\n Heather spoke highly about her time on HGTV<\/a>, telling Us<\/em>, \u201cI love filming The Flip Off<\/em> and Flipping El Moussas<\/em> and I love flipping houses. But I don\u2019t know internally what\u2019s going on.\u201d<\/p>\n The drama began in June after HGTV canceled five shows: Battle on the Beach, Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate, Bargain Block <\/em>and Izzy Does It<\/em>.<\/p>\n While the network hasn\u2019t publicly addressed whether there will be more cuts, a source exclusively told Us<\/em> this month that Tarek, 43, and Heather\u2019s Flipping El Moussas<\/em> is \u201cnot coming back\u201d to HGTV. The same goes for Tarek\u2019s ex-wife Christina Haack<\/strong>\u2019s series Christina on the Coast<\/em>,<\/a> which has also \u201cnot been renewed.\u201d<\/p>\n According to a second insider, the trio\u2019s The Flip Off<\/em> is meant to be \u201cback for a second season, but there is no filming date or air date yet.\u201d The show, which premiered in January, was HGTV\u2019s highest-rated freshman<\/a> series among adults since 2022.<\/p>\n \u201cAnything could happen. To be honest, it was a great show and it still is a great show,\u201d Heather told Us<\/em> about whether The Flipping El Moussas<\/em> could come back in some capacity in the future. \u201cI know that the fans loved it, and Tarek and I really, really enjoyed filming that show. It\u2019s definitely a challenging market right now \u2014 and with real estate in general. But I think anything could happen.\u201d<\/p>\n Heather noted she doesn\u2019t \u201chave any news\u201d about her HGTV shows<\/a> \u2014 including season 2 of The Flip Off<\/em>. \u201cBut I do know the fans would love to see it back and all three of us would love to see it back,\u201d she added, hinting at the possibility of her and Christina, 42, working together against Tarek. \u201cWe will definitely throw that idea around if season 2 comes about. But I love my partners and my husband.\u201d<\/p>\n Before joining HGTV, Heather got her start acting, modeling and doing real estate, which Netflix viewers saw on the early seasons of Selling Sunset<\/em><\/a>. Still, Heather sees HGTV as \u201cthe home base\u201d for renovation projects.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s so many other shows that I would love to do. I would love to get into hosting and I\u2019m definitely open to [new opportunities],\u201d she shared. \u201cI\u2019ve been on TV for many, many years. I modeled, I shot some commercials and there\u2019s a lot to me that I would love to tap into.\u201d<\/p>\n Us<\/em>\u2018 favorite pitch was Heather and Tarek possibly hosting a dating show together.<\/p>\n \u201cTarek and I have super fun banter with each other and we love filming together. But even by myself, there\u2019s so many different shows that I would love to host or be on,\u201d she continued. \u201cBut also, I don\u2019t know if I could be away from my baby for months at a time. It would have to be something that doesn\u2019t take me away from the family for too long.\u201d<\/p>\n Heather didn\u2019t have to take time away from her son while filming a new PETA campaign<\/a> encouraging families to dump dairy in favor of delicious vegan cheeses. The sweet video shared by PETA showed Heather trying the different vegan options<\/a> after having fun with Tristan on set.<\/p>\n \u201cTristan is super comfortable in front of the camera. He has been on camera since he was in my belly. So he is really used to being on camera in front of pictures and he\u2019s used to being around a lot of people because we had the crew in our house since he was born,\u201d she told Us<\/em>. \u201cHe loved it and he did so good.
