Actor Dennis Quaid<\/strong> said his relationship with his wife of five years is \u201cthe closest relationship I\u2019ve ever had with anybody.\u201d<\/p>\n In a new interview with Fox News<\/a>, Quaid, 71, said his life with his wife, Laura Savoie<\/strong>, 32, \u201cis paradise.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cEvery day is paradise with her. It really is.\u201d<\/p>\n Quaid and Savoie wed in June 2020 just a year after meeting each other at \u201ca business event,\u201d Fox News reports.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat can I tell you? I don\u2019t know why God had waited so long to bring her, for her to come along, but [I\u2019m] really glad he brought her into my life, or I walked into hers,\u201d Quaid said of his romance.<\/p>\n As for the age gap, Quaid said he knows it is the talk of the town for some people, but for him, he doesn\u2019t really notice the 39 years between them.<\/p>\n \u201cI haven\u2019t spoken out about the\u00a0age difference\u00a0of my wife. Other people have. But\u2026I really don\u2019t think about it,\u201d he admitted. \u201cShe\u2019s got so much going on that, you know, I just don\u2019t notice it. She\u2019s just, she\u2019s the light of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI wasn\u2019t looking for it, and she came along, and it\u2019s God put us together,\u201d he reiterated.<\/p>\n In 2019, while talking with The Guardian<\/a>, Quaid called all the attention on his and Savoie\u2019s ages \u201ca laugh.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t go out looking for an age gap or someone really younger than me. I met her at a business event and then the relationship developed,\u201d Quaid said at the time.<\/p>\n \u201cYou have no control over who you fall in love with,\u201d the \u201cParent Trap\u201d actor told The Guardian. \u201cI don\u2019t fall in love easy. But I can\u2019t let what a few people think control all that.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been married three times and this is the final one, I know it is,\u201d he said. \u201cI feel like I have a real partner in life.\u201d<\/p>\n
