Candace Cameron Bure<\/strong><\/a> previously battled an eating disorder<\/a> during her teenage years.<\/p>\n \u201cI developed an eating disorder when I was 18,\u201d Cameron Bure, 49, said on the Tuesday, July 22, episode of her eponymous podcast<\/a>. \u201cIt was binging and purging, like, I\u2019m a bulimic. I still say I\u2019m a bulimic because the thoughts, whether I\u2019m doing that or not, never leave me. I still need the tools to say, \u2018No, Candace, we\u2019re not doing that.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The Full House <\/i>alum further credited her husband, former hockey player Valeri Bure<\/strong><\/a>, with being an \u201cincredible support\u201d system amid her personal struggles.<\/p>\n \u201cI feel, like, a broken record. I\u2019m 49 years old, and I\u2019m, like, \u2018Why do I think about this so much? Why does it even matter so much? It\u2019s so ridiculous,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cAnd yet, I\u2019m still thinking about it [and] we\u2019re here talking about it.\u201d<\/p>\n Cameron Bure added, \u201cI\u2019m glad we\u2019re talking about it, but I just wish, in general, that this was not a conversation that we all had to have.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the actress, she has \u201cstruggled\u201d with her body image<\/a> for a long time.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m reading everything I can. I want all the information. There\u2019s certainly been amazing things and tools that have helped me along the way, but there\u2019s still nothing that has really changed my heart and soul on it,\u201d Cameron Bure said. \u201cI still constantly think about it. \u2026 It\u2019s really vulnerable, but so many of us feel the same feelings.\u201d<\/p>\n
