As we previously reported, Sydney Sweeney has teamed up with American Eagle<\/a> for a very expensive ad campaign that\u2019s centered around a single pun.<\/p>\n

The tagline \u201cSydney Sweeney has great jeans\u201d is meant to be a homophone joke that refers to both the denim she\u2019s sporting and the physical traits that have helped her reach the A-list.<\/p>\n

But the attempt at humor isn\u2019t sitting well with critics who say that the whole campaign is deeply problematic.<\/p>\n
