While Scheana Shay<\/strong> <\/a>name-dropped Jesse Metcalfe<\/strong> <\/a>and their brief relationship in her My Good Side <\/i>memoir, the actor admits that he hasn\u2019t actually read his ex\u2019s tell-all book.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just became aware of the book, like, a couple days ago,\u201d Metcalfe, 46, exclusively told Us Weekly <\/i>at Ticket2Event\u2019s 12th Annual Luxury Luncheon hosted by Jill Zarin, Brian Kelly<\/strong> and Sean Koski<\/strong> on Saturday, July 26. \u201cSo, no, I haven\u2019t read it yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Shay\u2019s memoir hit shelves on Tuesday, July 22, featuring tell-all anecdotes about the Vanderpump Rules <\/i>alum\u2019s dating history<\/a> and more. In one passage, Shay, now 40, claimed that she dated Metcalfe in 2007.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt like I was living a real-life fantasy with this guy I\u2019d watched on TV and in movies for years,\u201d Shay wrote, noting she had a \u201cgreat time\u201d with the John Tucker Must Die <\/i>actor. \u201cOur relationship didn\u2019t happen right away. Soon after we first met, he went to rehab, so we started hanging out often only after he finished.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tYes, Jesse Metcalfe knows he was name-dropped in Scheana Shay\u2018s upcoming memoir, My Good Side. \u201cShe spoke highly of me, which was nice,\u201d Metcalfe, 46, said during the Wednesday, July 16, episode of Tori Spelling\u2019s \u201cMisspelling\u201d podcast. Entertainment Weekly published an excerpt from Shay\u2019s memoir earlier this month, which revealed that she and Metcalfe dated [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Shay further claimed that Metcalfe took her on a date after leaving rehab to the red carpet premiere of Cloverfield<\/i>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cI then spent my 22nd birthday at dinner with him,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI vividly remember sticking to water and Red Bull all night as a way of supporting his sobriety.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Metcalfe has yet to pick up Shay\u2019s book<\/a>, he was thankful that the reality TV star mentioned him in a favorable light.<\/p>\n

Metcalfe previously spoke about Shay<\/a> mentioning their fling in her memoir on a recent episode of Tori Spelling<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cMisspelling\u201d podcast earlier this month.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tScheana Shay\u2019s little black book could provide enough content for a second memoir. In My Good Side, out Tuesday, July 22, the Vanderpump Rules alum, 40, writes about taking a break from dating athletes and actors after a series of flings with more than 10 celebrities. \u201cI said to myself, okay Scheana, you\u2019ve tried dating [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cShe spoke highly of me, which was nice,\u201d he said at the time. \u201c[It was a] long time ago, 20 years ago. We were dating. I mean, it was \u2014 overall \u2014 it was pretty brief, but we were seeing each other on a regular basis.\u201d<\/p>\n

Metcalfe also joked that he tried to keep the book \u201caway\u201d from his current girlfriend, Helene Immel<\/strong>. They\u2019ve been dating since 2023, even walking the Southampton Inn red carpet together on Saturday.<\/p>\n
