\t\t<\/p>\n Micheal Ward<\/strong><\/a> is being charged in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n On Friday (July 25), London\u2019s Metropolitan Police confirmed that the 27-year-old BAFTA-winning actor, best known for his roles in Eddington<\/em> and Top Boy<\/em>, is facing two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault following an alleged offense against a woman in January 2023.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span>\u201cOur specialist officers continue to support the woman who has come forward \u2013 we know investigations of this nature can have significant impact on those who make reports,\u201d Detective Superintendent Scott Ware<\/strong> shared in a press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n Catherine Baccas<\/strong>, deputy chief crown prosecutor for CPS London South, added, \u201cHaving carefully reviewed a file of evidence, the Crown Prosecution Service has authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge Micheal Ward, 27, with two counts of rape, two counts of assault by penetration, and one count of sexual assault against a woman in January 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe remind all concerned that proceedings against the suspect are active and he has a right to a fair trial,\u201d she added. \u201cIt is vital that there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in anyway prejudice these proceedings.\u201d<\/p>\n Micheal<\/strong> has denied the misconduct allegations, telling Sky News<\/a><\/em>, \u201cI recognize that proceedings are now ongoing, and I have full faith that they will lead to my name being cleared.\u201d<\/p>\n He has been ordered to attend a hearing at the Thames Magistrates\u2019 Court on Thursday, August 28, where he will have the opportunity to formerly address the charges.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p><\/div>\n
