Former E! News<\/em> host Lilliana Vazquez<\/strong><\/a> is weighing in on the show\u2019s shock cancellation.<\/p>\n \u201cAs a former host of E! News<\/em> \u2014 here\u2019s my VERY HONEST reaction to the cancellation!\u201d Vazquez, 45, captioned a TikTok video on Thursday, July 24, asking followers if they were \u201creally surprised\u201d by the news.<\/p>\n \u201cI can talk about this because I was the former host of E! News<\/em>,\u201d Vazquez started her video. \u201cNo, I\u2019m not surprised.\u201d<\/p>\n Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed on Thursday, July 24, that E! News<\/em> was canceled after more than 30 years on the air<\/a>. The current iteration of the show is hosted by Keltie Knight<\/strong> and Justin Sylvester<\/strong>, who have not publicly addressed the cancellation outside of Knight\u2019s TikTok to the song \u201c6 Months Later\u201d by Megan Moroney<\/strong>. The show\u2019s final episode airs on September 25. (E! News<\/em> is set to continue as a digital brand.)<\/p>\n Vazquez explained that she \u201cleft\u201d the show in 2021 after being, what she thinks, is \u201cthe shortest tenured host\u201d at the show.<\/p>\n \u201cNot because I did anything wrong, or our show did anything wrong, but I signed on in December of 2019 and hosted it through March of 2020. If you dare to remember what happened in March of 2020, our show went off the air with me as the host because of the pandemic<\/a>,\u201d she continued. \u201cWhen it came back, it came back in a very different form, and I was no longer with the network.\u201d<\/p>\n Vazquez claimed that the \u201cwriting was on the wall\u201d for E! News<\/em> when she was hired as the host.
