Jax Taylor intends to return to the show<\/p>\n
\nThe 46-year-old reality star recently announced that he won’t appear in season three of the show, but Jax insists that he’ll return to The Valley one day.<\/p>\n
\nHe said on his In the Mind of Jax Taylor podcast: “Myself, my team [and] the producers got together [and] we decided to take a break from season three. This is not goodbye. This is kind of just a pause on things.<\/p>\n
\n“The more I talked about it with everybody, it just didn\u2019t seem to make a lot of sense for me to walk right back into filming right away.”<\/p>\n
\nSeason two of the show explored Jax’s acrimonious split from Brittany Cartwright and the reality star hopes to “heal” during his time off-screen.<\/p>\n
\nJax said: “We get past a lot of stuff after filming and then we have to relive it again. You know when the show comes on, so that kind of never allows the wound to technically heal because now the scab keeps getting ripped open.”<\/p>\n
\nJax has been open about his struggles with addiction and mental health issues over recent months. And the reality star is now firmly focused on his recovery, revealing that his drug issues are currently “under control”.<\/p>\n
\nHe explained: “Right now, my recovery is very important to me.<\/p>\n
\n“To kind of catch you guys up on things as far as the drugs and the alcohol goes, that\u2019s under control, believe it or not, that it\u2019s all under control. I have no issues with that anymore.”<\/p>\n
\nJax explained that in the long term, he intends to “fix a lot” in his life.<\/p>\n
\nHe shared: “I think everybody\u2019s OK with me stepping away at this time. I hope \u2026 they miss me a little bit or I can rekindle somebody\u2019s relationships that I\u2019ve screwed up. That\u2019s kind of where I\u2019m headed. I want to fix a lot.”<\/p>\n
\nJax announced that he was stepping back from The Valley earlier this month.<\/p>\n
\nThe TV star – who has Cruz, four, with Brittany – said: “After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I\u2019ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley.<\/p>\n
\n“Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and co-parenting.”<\/p>\n
