Adam Sandler<\/a>, 58, for the 2025 comedy flick, and Bad Bunny has now revealed he is hoping to \u201cexplore different genres\u201d in film.<\/p>\nSpeaking to E! News, he said: \u201cI hope to keep doing comedy, but also, I am hoping to explore different genres, like drama \u2026 keep doing action, like Bullet Train.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bad Bunny – whose real name is Benito Antonio Mart\u00ednez Ocasio – was showered with praise by his Happy Gilmore 2 co-star Sandler, who led the Netflix movie as the titular golfer.<\/p>\n
He gushed: \u201c[Bad Bunny] is just in it. They call \u2018action\u2019 and Benito is ready to go, and stays focused and was the guy he wanted to be the whole time.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHappy Gilmore 2 – which is the sequel to the beloved 1996 comedy movie Happy Gilmore – follows the retired hockey player-turned-golf legend as he returns to the green to mentor a hot-headed new prodigy. <\/p>\n
\nWhen an old rival resurfaces, Happy must reclaim his swing and his spirit to save the game he loves.<\/p>\n
\nLooking to the future, Sandler admitted he had \u201cnever even thought of\u201d making a third Happy Gilmore movie, though insisted he had also never considered Happy Gilmore 2 being a possibility either.<\/p>\n
\nWhen asked if a third Happy Gilmore film was on the table, Sandler said: \u201cI never even thought of that. But I never thought of Happy Gilmore 2 either, so we\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\u2028The Grown Ups star previously admitted it was constant fan pressure that had led to him getting the ball rolling on Happy Gilmore 2.<\/p>\n
\nDuring an appearance on Good Morning America, Sandler said: \u201cWhen I walk[ed] down the street a lot of times people [would] say, \u2018You ever gonna do Happy Gilmore 2?\u2019 <\/p>\n
\n\u201cAnd for 28 years, I was like, \u2018What are you talking about? No.\u2019 And then all of a sudden, I was like, \u2018Maybe\u2019 … people kept asking. And then it just felt right.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHappy Gilmore 2 also stars Ben Stiller as Hal L., Christopher McDonald, as Shooter McGavin, Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit and NFL star Travis Kelce as a hotel employee.<\/p>\n
\nWhen asked about the wide-ranging cast, Sandler said: \u201cI don\u2019t know how it happened. We wrote \u2018em stuff and everybody was kind enough to come. And everybody in it did a great job.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cEvery day someone cool would show up and we\u2019d hang out.\u201d<\/p>\n
