\t\t<\/p>\n Brandon Routh<\/strong><\/a> is speaking out about the new Superman<\/strong><\/a><\/em> movie!<\/p>\n The 45-year-old actor previously portrayed the DC superhero nearly 20 years ago, in Superman Returns<\/em>, which debuted in 2006, and once again in The CW\u2019s five-part \u201cCrisis on Infinite Earths<\/strong><\/a>\u201d crossover event in late 2019 and early 2020.<\/p>\n While promoting his new movie Ick<\/em> on Monday (July 21), Brandon<\/strong> shared his thoughts on the 2025 movie and David Corenswet<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s portrayal. <\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt was a lot of fun,\u201d he told Variety<\/em>\u2018s Marc Malkin<\/strong><\/a>. \u201cI really enjoyed it. I think David<\/strong> is fantastic. I cried no less than three times.<\/p>\n \u201cI see this in a different way. I come at it from a different perspective,\u201d Brandon<\/strong> shared. \u201cI really got into it as I\u2019m watching him navigate those tricky Superman moments in the first conversation with Lois and Clark in the apartment. And then all of the family stuff for me really hit. It\u2019s a big movie. There\u2019s a lot in there. I have to go see it again.\u201d<\/p>\n He also shared his thoughts on the DC universe reboot under James Gunn<\/strong><\/a> and Peter Safran<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cI really am excited for the potential for the DC Universe,\u201d Brandon<\/strong> dished. \u201cA successful launch with this is just good for everybody who wants more of what DC has to offer.
